Friday's Beer!

After getting royally spanked by the forces of evil in our Provincial Election the arrival of Friday and the opportunity to share a beer with some folks is MOST welcome!

Another local beer! This one from Fort Garry Brewing Company.

It's Two Rivers Red and without fanfare or hooplah ..... " this is simply a Canadian Style Lager with reddish colour, medium body, smooth caramel sweet finish and no after taste!"

And I concur on the taste!

But this fine beer is anything but a Simple Canadian Style Lager!

This baby pops nicely and pours clear with a bit of head that laces out but gets fresh effervescence from the body as the glass sits. But it will not sit long because there is plenty to enjoy here! The company profile for Red is too modest by far because there is a good aromatic character to the beer as it settles in the glass with the kind of very nice bake shop spices and malt character that expensive European imports boast. But right here folks in Manitoba another of our local brewmeisters hits a homer without question!

Two Rivers Red is a Winner!
