I Support Tarek Fatah

Because he speaks plainly about things that others wish to confabulate about.

From the Facebook Group I Support Tarek Fatah :

This Link UK Nonsense leads to this discussion contribution from Tarek:

"......The headline, "Government renames Islamic terrorism as 'anti-Islamic activity' to woo Muslims," reeks of opportunism and weak-kneed politcal correctness."

Terrorism that is inspired by the doctrine of jihad and sharia teachings of 20th century Islamists, is nothing other than Islamic terrorism.

Calling a spade a spade is the first step, while appeasing those who give their soft support for such activities, is a step backwards..... " (Tarek's words)

I could not agree more. The whole idea of politically correct speech is preposterous!

Honest, mature and upright people do not need to wrap their dialogue in cotton balls nor do they need to be protected from plain truth and accurate analysis.

Political Correctness ...... is a child's game that should be beneath those who call themselves leaders. Whether in the media or in politics or in academia or simply in private this mindset is fools refuge from the facts of life and those promoting or propagating this nonsense need to be educated to that fact.

I should add that when practiced by politicians it is nothing more than crass manipulation of the public dialogue to suit their ambitions and allow them to posture on issues without any commitment or integrity of purpose.
