Sunday Daydreaming.......

The Mule xs650 Sets the bar so high for this style of custom motorcycle it's almost discouraging.
I have an old xs650 in my garage that awaits the magical combination of Time+Money that will allow me to try my hand at this sort of reinvention. But then I find that Richard Pollock's been busy .... really busy putting his much superior talents to work on a theme of replicating the looks and balance of an AMA flat track or TT style race bike.

I like these bikes because they are sports bikes for the real world. They perform on ALL kinds of roads from the city concrete to back roads gavel and dirt. Besides that the retro-racer look that harks back to the days of Mert Lawwill, Cal Rayborn, Dick Mann, Kenny Roberts, Gary Nixon and many other guys who were Saturday Night giants under the lights of 1/2 mile dirt tracks around the USA.

Hat Tips to thekneeslider.com and Paul Crowe who keeps putting out the best blog of cycling sports craftsmen and fabricators along with industry news.
