What If ?
In light of a few revelations that came about as a result of this :

It was the Marginalized Action Dino that got me thinking...............
What IF .... As M.A.D. pointed out the Germans Under Kaiser Wilhelm had offered the Mexican Government the incentive to take on the USA with Germany's Backing?
Well apparently this did happen only the Mexicans decided not to take the bait.
Leaving the US inclined to have an eye towards Europe and the shit disturbing Kaiser.
And we all know how that turned out!
Just supposing that the Mexicans had made the choice to try the USA as a proxy for the Germans!
I'm thinking that it may not have worked out too badly given how things are today.
- No Americans expeditionary force in 1917 and no subsequent support of French and British forces.
- USA southern border would have been moved to somewhere in the vicinity of Columbia by 1918 thus eliminating a whole host of future problems.
- No support to bail out the incompetent French thus allowing the first and final surrender of French preemptively ending a long decline into decrepitude
- British would have been forced and probably would have been happy to make a treaty with the Kaiser leaving much of Canadian forces back at home.
- No "Spanish Flu" pandemic ... which was caused by the concentration of troops and the transatlantic transport of those sick soldiers.
- No socialist Europe ( I'm guessing that the German Empire would have extended from Ukraine in the East to the Channel and from the Sahara in the south to Finland)
- NO USSR .... the Bolsheviks would have starved themselves en masse
- No Joseph Stalin
- No National Socialist Party ergo ... no Hitler and No Third Reich with all that attends to that
- No Communist China
- No OPEC
- No UN
If ONLY !
I guess I'm making an argument for US Isolationism .... trouble is that the time for that is long gone. They needed to mind their own damned business 90 years ago.
And Now it's TOO late for that...

Well ..... we'll see how it all turns out... it's interesting to observe the trends in distribution that some items and links generate.
And yes GWB ran for the GOP nomination on on isolationist ticket.
Something that nobody in the lefto-sphere EVER cares to mention.
