Friday's Beer

It's Christmas already ... Santa dropped off a large box that smelled like cigarette smoke and said "Weiser's Special Blend" on it. Funny though ... it came from Olds Alberta!

From Left to Right :

Pump House's "Blueberry Ale"
North Coast Brewing's "Old No.38 Stout"
Ally Kat's "Pumpkin PI - Spiced Ale"
Anchor Brewing's "Special Seasonal Ale"
North Coast's "Old Rasputin" Imperial Stout
Butte Creek's "Organic Pale Ale"
Shaftebury's "Easy Honey - Pale Ale"

Thanks Santa!

Now I've got some work to do but later on we can all get together at *The Broom * for a taste of Darcey's blues picks and a read on one of these treats.

See you later.........................................

Later ............................
It's Old No. 38 from the North Coast Brewing Co. of Forte Bragge California.
"Water, Barley, Malt, Hops, Yeast" and that's all!

So they say .... Well She pours sweetly dark and generates a nice tan coloured head of froth.
Goes up the nose with the classic stout mix of aromatic hops and roasted malt. There's a bit of spicy scent and some fruit in the mix too. Nice mixture with nothing over top.
Smooth on the tongue and a bit mocha like with a good fresh finish that leaves me hungry for another.

This dark baby goes down very well !

Cheers!
