Most of the roads in North America are still unpaved and most of the paved ones have crap for surface. If you really want a bike with the ability to take you everywhere the road goes you leave the overweight lugs at home along with the hard luggage and other assorted crap the dealers like to sell.
Learn to go light and do without 100lbs of baggage!
