Swimming In Dirty Water - CBC Update

More oily scum on the shallow waters of the Neville camp and her supporters at the CBC.

In their attempts to justify the report they put out the CBC wants us to believe that they are being simply "Fair and Balanced". Because as Cecil Rosner puts it ...

"As you know, there is increased scrutiny during elections of positions adopted by candidates and statements they have made in the past. There have already been many stories during the course of this campaign detailing past statements from candidates, and questions surrounding whether the candidates continue to hold those views. These have involved candidates from several different parties."

Implying of course that Mr. Kennerd's letter of concern over the actions of that school board are the moral equivalent of spewing lunatic conspiracy theories that were propagated by anti semitic and America hating left wing groups or those others who were advocating drug use or murder of native protesters.

To the CBC and Mr. Rosner it's all just news we are to believe.

Except that in every other case it has been because of widespread publicity brought about by bloggers that forced their hand.

In the case of this attempted smear of Mr. Kennerd it seems that one letter culled from the files of a liberal activist school board office by Anita Neville supporters and fellow activists is sufficient cause to make it newsworthy to the CBC.

More People are taking up the analysis of this outrageous attempt by the CBC to play political water bearer for LIberal Anita Neville.

The Black Rod skewers Neville and the CBC .

Question: If A letter from a parent asking about a school board's waste of resources is a newsworthy topic.

Should not the very actions and motivations of those on that school board also be examined.

Anita Neville and her radical social agenda along with her associations with activist groups ought to be brought to the public attention.

Apparently after I was getting my daily dose of economics from the CBC I should have stayed tuned instead of throwing a lamp at the radio.

It seems that they have someone on Anita Neville's side of the fence that likes to make unsupported allegations about people.

And because those unsupported allegations happen to be about Conservative Candidate Trevor Kennerd who is about to unseat the long time parasitic Liberal bench warmer and one time school board trustee ..... CBC finds that sufficient reason to run with it.

"Nobody at the meeting remembers Kennard specifically, but one attendee remembers meeting one man who "radiated hatred and homophobia." **

** Note : Because Kennerd was never there !

I am writing in response to your email to the CBC Ombudsman about our story today dealing with remarks made by Trevor Kennerd, a candidate in this year's federal election.

As you know, there is increased scrutiny during elections of positions adopted by candidates and statements they have made in the past. There have already been many stories during the course of this campaign detailing past statements from candidates, and questions surrounding whether the candidates continue to hold those views. These have involved candidates from several different parties.

Mr. Kennerd's letter to the Winnipeg School Division respecting the work of its diversity education committee was the subject of considerable media attention in 1999. I attach a copy of the Winnipeg Free Press from May 4, 1999 to illustrate this point. Our story today quotes from Mr. Kennerd's original letter, which was received by the school division on April 22, 1999. I am attaching a copy of that letter for your reference also. In his letter he makes statements about diversity education, alleged radical social agendas, and the proper role for education. We believe it is newsworthy to canvass this issue and determine Mr. Kennerd's views respecting this debate. Mr. Kennerd issued a statement in response to our story, and we have included his response in our subsequent coverage. I am attaching his response to this email as well. Both his original letter and his response are being posted to our website. Mr. Kennerd declined our invitation today to appear on camera.

I hope this information provides you with more background on the issue.

Sincerely,

Cecil Rosner
Managing Editor
CBC Manitoba

So where did the state-funded cbcers find the "attendee" with the incredible memory?...did they hire Jim Rockford P.I. investigations?...these state-funded cbcers really are a credit to their craft honed to a fine science on the back of the Canadian taxpayers...if Karl and the other one could crawl out their tombs, they would pop their collective buttons.
