Ben Steins Common Sense / South Park Sensitivity

I picked this up from a newswire a couple of weeks ago......

"This is pathetic, childish narcissism." Ben Stein

Ben Stein on Hollywood morality

The idea that it is brave to stand up for gays in Hollywood, to stand up against Joe McCarthy in Hollywood (fifty years after his death), to say that rich white people are bad, that oil companies are evil -- this is nonsense. All of these are mainstream ideas in Hollywood, always have been, always will be. For the people who made movies denouncing Big Oil, worshiping gays, mocking the rich to think of themselves as brave -- Its just Pathetic Childish Narcicism!

No Kidding Ben!

Chef Quits South Park! Isaac Hayes Offended by criticism of Scientology??

I Found this on : www.thosebastards.com

From Yahoo: Someone Has A Confused Sense of Morality

Isaac Hayes has quit "South Park," where he voices Chef, saying he can no longer stomach its take on religion.

Hayes, who has played the ladies' man/school cook in the animated Comedy Central satire since 1997, said in a statement Monday that he feels a line has been crossed.

...

"South Park" co-creator Matt Stone responded sharply in an interview with The Associated Press Monday, saying, "This is 100 percent having to do with his faith of Scientology... He has no problem -- and he's cashed plenty of checks -- with our show making fun of Christians."

...

Stone told The AP he and co-creator Trey Parker "never heard a peep out of Isaac in any way until we did Scientology. He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin."

Boy, those checks were pretty good when they criticized christianity, right Issac?

BTW As far as I am concerned Scientology is SCAM cult that victimizes vulnerable people.
It IS NOT A RELIGION and any official recognition of the group by governments is an abomination and a deriliction of responsibility.

I once saw Ben Stein on The Daily Show and he spent about five minutes ripping into Jon Stewart for not knowing anything about the sort of man that Nixon was, and what beneficial policies he enacted both foreign and domestic, and the liberal media for distorting him as being humourless and mean-spirited and imbecillic when he was neither the first nor the third and only was the second with good reason.
