Police can no longer protect the law abiding public, notice the slogan "To protect and serve" is gone from our own city police vehicles? Because they can no longer protect, and they do not serve the public, only their political masters. They have simply become de-facto tax collectors for the beaurocrats (ie speeding fines, smoking fines, talking on your phone fines). Far easier and profitable to bust Joe Q. Public for ridiculous government imposed sin taxes than to track down and arrest violent criminals who will simply be released by bleeding heart judges.
Shoot, shovel, and shut-up.
Cops only help themselves to your wallet.
