Banning Books to Halt the Propogation of Hate?

From the Gates of Vienna
comes this post about a Dutch political Leader :

"...Geert Wilders wants to ban the Koran. The leader of the Party for Liberty wrote this today in De Volkskrant. The politician compared the Islamic holy scripture with Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. That book has been censored in The Netherlands since the end of World War Two; it cannot be sold in the country. Wilders, about the Koran: “Ban that cursed book, just as Mein Kampf is banned!”.."

My view is that books are not the problem. I firmly believe that laws governing sedition can and should be applied to anyone using a public forum to incite acts against the state or it's citizens.
It is clear that Islamists are doing this and while their Chosen literary relic provides a lot of the fuel for the rhetorical fires it remains an act of choice to interpret and preach the messages of unlawful and treasonous action. It's a choice that needs to be answered for by the perpetrators.

So use the legal statutes already ... It's like using a gun .... all it takes is the guts to do it. The justice and security agencies of our nation have an obligation to take aim and pull the trigger!

There are a lot of things that our law enforcement and security agencies need to answer for ..... this indolence over taking legal action against sedition preachers is at the top of my list.

Korans don't kill people. Moslems kill people.
