Just Because It's Friday !

Well another week come and gone with much consternation and care in the world!

Time for this greybeard to put the work and the worry to rest with a nice beverage and some not so serious thoughts.
Let me re-introduce you to the Tampa Bay Bucs Cheerleading Squad ........

Sorry girls! Can't be there tonight!

In other matters of pleasure and relaxation:

Friday's Beer !

Say hello to Oktoberfest Lager from Half Pints Brewing Co. here in Winnipeg!

I've been waiting for this after the long hot summer of simple thirst quenchers.... for me Beer Year starts in the fall and runs until spring is over. This is the time of year to put the focus back on the full taste and full body of the world's best beverages.

She's a special treat ... darker than you'd expect ... a dirty blonde head and stronger and more willing to please than I'd hoped for!

This is the new seasonal brew from Half Pints and it's a pleasant surprise!

This one pours into the glass a rich amber almost dark and produces a substantial golden cream head that stays. There's steady effervescence from the body and the aroma is real classic German beer with rich hops that exude lemon flower freshness and the malts just underneath the surface.

On the palate this creamy texture is truly enhanced by a slightly hardened malt flavour and the hops provide just the right bite that makes for a strong tasting beer that finishes clean.

The bottles are large at 660ml and the ABV solid at 6.2% ...... pricey but worth it for a treat.

Cheers!

As always... be sure to head on over to www.dustmybroom.com AKA The Broom! .... for Darcey's special selection of Music and Beer .... It's Friday Night Blues and Beer at The Broom
