Talk About Destroying Your Credibility! Flummery
I'm sure that everyone in the Bloggosphere is well aware that this:

Was awarded THIS ....
Seems to me that the Nobel Foundation is a little bit confused in recent years!
With the awarding of this once prestigious prize to a string of charlatans, failures, terrorist supporters and even sworn terrorists .... What Value does the Nobel prize for peace have?

For the LAZY here's a short list of recent recipients with what I see as less than deserving CV's:
2007 - IPCC, AA Gore Jr.
2005 - IAEA, Mohamed El Baradei
2002 - Jimmy Carter
2001 - The UN , Kofi Annan
1994 - Yasser Arafat ( shared with Shimon Perez and Yitzhak Rabin)
1984 - Desmond Tutu
Frankly I do not care if the Nobel Foundation wishes to destroy their own credibility!
However it's a damned shame that they tarnish the value of this award by comparing the likes of those listed above with the likes of:
Albert Schweitzer. Linus Pauling, George C. Marshall. LesterB. Pearson, Martin Luther King Henry Kissinger, The Dali Llama, Muhammad Yunus, Shirin Ebadi, Michail Gorbachev and many others who have actually accomplished a measure of improvement in world affairs.
That IS a SHAME!!

Nobel is cache. Just like CBS. They just don't see their actions as debasing the franchise.
they are promoting their view of the world - it has nothing to do with peace any more unless someone from their belief set just happens to do something that promotes peace. not that that is very likely any more.
