Friday's Beer!

From Half Pints .... yes The Boys on Keewatin Street have another selection to tantalize our taste buds.














This time around they've released a triumvirate of brews called : The Father , The Son and the Holy Spirit !!

Well it looks like I missed out on The Son ..... you snooze ...you loose ....
Just the same ... I did manage to get my hands on The Father and we're here to share it!

They say it's brewed in the Belgian Dubbel style ( which gets my interest up) and using "Devine Inspiration!" OK ... let's see.....

The usual hefty sized 660ml bottle is labeled as 7.2% abv and pops just a bit when opened.

The pour is smooth and produces about two fingers of nice creamy vanilla coloured head that settles down to skim after a few minutes.
The body is a pleasing dark amber that sustains steady bubbles from bottom to top.

The first sensation on the nose is a sharp floral perfume like a basket full of lemons and fresh banana over just a hint of malt .... I think the malts are just swamped in the flower hopness.

But .... when this one gets on the tongue it's game over for all that flowery stuff! Pow!*@@@$

This is a freekin' banana malted shake in a beer glass! I am astounded by the power of these malts and the reaction they play with from the hops. Beauty..... After that taste bud double punch it's all smooth and even finishes cleanly for a brew with that much sweet glory.

This is truly inspired genius .... beauty is truth and truth beauty ... Half Pints - The Father .... go get some!
