What better way to show the world that you have awoken from psychotropic stupor than to swarm a bunch of kids who have a once in a lifetime chance to participate in a world event that is supposed to be about human endeavour and achievement??
Well I suppose it's not too surprising! After all most of these protest monkeys spend a great deal of time criticising both Endeavour and Achievement while studiously avoiding both.

Like Steyn says the Free Tibet crowd would be the first to be up in arms if Cheney started sending in infantry divisions.
You bet ..... 99.99% of those clowns are the same ones who were out baning pots and pans against the WTC .... The G8 .... NATO ..... and Israel ... they show up at every "Peace" parade and a few of them were likely attending the Paris CarBQ parties.
For those idiots the Tibet situation just began last week and is a cause du jour .
