Right In Reason - Yet Not So Much in Motivation!

One of the attributes that so endears many NDP pols to the socialist minded masses is their unfailing sense of outrage at any perceived "Injustice". This is especially so when it comes to matters of successful and elite persons or groups who may be brought low by hapenstance and are necessarily therefore twice guilty by the lights of those espouse the concept of "Social Justice"! First of the sin that they took honours and wealth through the means available only to those of greater ability, diligence and fortune. Second that they are perceived to be unjustly keeping those honours and wealth.

This is where Charlie Angus comes to the play.....

"In light of the decision by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeal in Chicago, it's time for Black to lose the honour, says New Democrat Charlie Angus.

"He's not a citizen of Canada, and he's lost his appeal, so I think they should move quickly, and have this dealt with," Angus said in an interview.

In a letter to the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall, Angus said he's concerned about the effect on Canada's highest honour of Black remaining a member of the order.

"I remain deeply concerned that Mr. Black continuing to hold our country's highest civilian honour undermines its integrity and greatness," said Angus."

Well of course he will not be keeping the honourary title of Holder of the Order of Canada.

The rules of that institution say so and it would not matter one whit how many Charlie Angus types go about making demands and such. In fact if there were no NDP and NO class hating lefties at all there would still be no keeping the O of C for Conrad Black because it has NOTHING to do with the politics of anyone.

But Charlie won't let that get in the way of a good opportunity to spew some rhetoric aimed more at feeding the sentiments of class envy and uber - schadenfreude ..... which by the way speaks more clearly about the character of Mr. Angus than the failings of a hundred Conrad Blacks.
