Friday's Beer !

Well in advance .... just because I'm time shifting and multi-tasking to get as much outside nature time as possible.... For your consideration : Here's Mill Street Brewery's Tankhouse Ale

This is a 341 ml bottle at 5.2% abv another product of Toronto craft hopsters at Mill Street Brewery ....

The brew pours clear and a nice copper colour with lots of bubbles but not a lot of head.
The body stays lively and just enough sticks to make a small ring around the glass and wisp of lace.

The nose is hoppy with herbal and bitter citrus overriding some mish-mash of malts and caramels. Its an OK combination and really quite traditional in nature.

In the mouth it's a little bit tart and dry ... finishing with a bit of the burnt caramel and then fading into a clean hoppy tang at the end. All in all ... an OK brew for the summer patio.

Best served well chilled and enjoyed with BBQ treats and patio snacks.

For the summer ...
Cheers!

Who knew I'd be back home for Friday? .... Darcey's got some stuff to sample over at DMB !

Hi OMMAG
I found Tankhouse a tad to spicy for my tastes.
Cheers

Their own description says spicy ...

The one I tried had some combination of flavours .... but not what I would call strong or spicey.

Who knows it may have been slightly off!
