CBC Cheerleading for Danny Williams
Our Fair and Balanced national broadcaster continues their election coverage today with the Hairspray Helmet Headers Hiscox `giving interview with Jim Prentice ... her selected topic of interest : Danny Williams and his Ànything but Conservative campaign against Stephen Harper.
Bound and determined to get Jim to admit to some kind of animosity toward Newfoundlanders or to respond in some way to Williams juvenile pomposity Headers relentlessly repeated the question that either the conservatives must have Newfoundland to win the election or that the PM must respond to the little loudmouth from Newfoundland.
Jim Prentice calmly repeated that the real issue is whether or not Newfoundland can afford a LIberal government in Ottawa. Also that at the end of the day Newfoundland voters will think for themselves.
A concept apparently so completely foreign to the CBC news reader that she was unable to muster any intelligent questions on the matter.
Of course the Danny Williams battle cry is something near and dear to the hearts of those CBC news peoples being exactly their own sentiments. Be sure they will not be letting that rest!

Who is danny boy speaking for?Most Newfoundlanders now live in Alberta or Ontario due to dannys great economic leadership!

Look isn't that why you pay taxes?
Heaven forbid they close the cbc to give direct handouts to us bloggers who actually have a diversity of opinion.
Or buy more doctors, or by tanks for the army or make our navy seaworthy.

One of the comments at the CBC suggested that Danny Williams may singlehandedly stop a Conservative majority. I would suggest that there is something else that Danny will do singlehandedly.
Grandad ... I'm not sure what you mean but I think it could be something that Danny does a lot of figuratively speaking.
Dino ... almost any other use of our tax dollars would be better than subsidizing the propaganda organ called the CBC.
The can't even get their facts straight when they seem to be trying.
Personally I'd be happy to pay for news access that was verifiable and intelligently researched.
Now where would Reuters AP and CP be in that world?
