Fridays Beer !

Back in the garage ..... having beaten the flu and other sundry malevalences.

The man's space and the man's pastimes .... to be enjoyed and revelled in.

And so we bring you Thwaite's "Lancaster Bomber" ......

What they say:

Tasting Notes

Chestnut in colour, Lancaster Bomber has a warming, full-flavoured taste, with a hint of toffee and biscuit and a very moreish flavour.

What I say:

The Bomber pours clear and full of life into the happy glass producing a crisp white cap of foam that sticks around long enough to get a bite out of before the serious tasting begins.

The body is a lovely coppery red and the nose gets full of citrus and grass aroma from the hops with just the right undertone of bakeshop.

On the palate ... crisp and resfreshing ... a little bit of bite from the hops that just keeps it all in perspective and the malts give some but not a lot of caramel and toast. The finish is clean and the end result is an eminently drinkable brew. If you are out for BIG taste then this is not the beverage you want .... But if you like a subtle balance with that clean finish .... go for it.

I'd recommend this beer for a lone beverage thirst quenching and certainly with any kind of summer patio food. I'm going to stock up for the BBQ rib and roast pig fest and make the most of it.
Other opinions ..... Beer Taster

And remember ... if it's Friday it's time for FNB&B at dustmybroom.com ... Darcey's got picks for beer and a sampling of the Best of Blues.

Cheers!

The best way to cap an insane weekend is a Brokenhead tube ride.

Sunday will be perfect for it!
