I was in a lake house a couple months ago, northern Illinois. The owner had a finished walk-out basement. The wall opposite the sliding doors was covered with 70's album covers (or reproductions, I didn't ask) in perfect condition. I had forgotten about most but recognized nearly all. A real blast from the past.
I was once advised that my record collection would be more valuable for the jacket art than the records.
Personally ... I believe they go hand in hand.
Original releases in original covers are the best.
My regret is that a let so many go or get damaged.
Oh well..................
