Because It's Friday Night!

Get on over to Dust My Broom...
Boogie Blues Beer and Banter! It's a party!

Tonight at my place : Once again a Belgian Blonde
Affligem Blond made by the monks of the abbey of Affligem.
Awsome live in the bottle beer with barley malt.
Chilled to 40F it pops without a lot of fuss but the head comes alive as she sits for a minute.
Pours into a lively head of creamy froth and exuberant effervescence in the body.
Pale yellow colour and a caramel scent over the typical Belgian flower garden fragrance.
Smooth on the tongue with a hint of warm cookies and burnt suga...leaves a happy mouth and clean sweet aftertaste...finishing like a really fine wine.
This beer really has that special "Moreness" to it!

I've heard about this beer made by monks. One thing we're missing in the province of Quebec is a real beer store. I have to brew a batch of Coopers if I want something different.

Soren... I thought Quebec was more open to imports!

Imports are around, they're just hard find. The only true booze store is the provincially owned SAQ, a chain that specializes in wine and liquor. That leaves us beer connoisseurs with whatever is available at the grocery store, at least out in the country.
