At a time when the US and the rest of the civilized world is being let down by the posturing incompetents in the White House it would seem relatively easy for even the laziest news gatherer to find something of import to offer the world.

Instead .... we get daily doses of irrelevent pap from the MSM. While many liberals choose to remain blind to the overt racism of the Obobo and his wife the majority of the MSM continue to pimp for the Democrat mediocrity that has been foisted onto the world stage.

I suppose that Kenneth Walsh may have been working on his themed report on racism well before this week .... his stab at analysis of the America's affirmative action POTUS shows quite well how the least qualified president in history tries to connect himself with great men such as Martin Luther King. By repeating Obama's own self portrayal and Obama's worm tongue words to imply that those who dare criticize are in fact racists Mr. Walsh illustrates just one of the many failings of character that this POTUS demonstrates again and again.

One thing you can be sure of is that when you make those who rely on the fantasy of political correctness to face any of the uncomfortable truths which they studiously avoid ... you are going to get some kind of reaction.

Liberal media and intelligentsia spent the following week  revving up their indignation over forty odd words so inflammatory that just about every progressive putz with a computer just  HAD to throw in their two cents worth of outrage.

I actually don't know why Nial Ferguson felt the need to mention the personal idiosyncrasy of JM Keynes except that there is a point to be made about the priorities of self absorbed degenerates with malfunctioning DNA.

I guess that point stings just a little too much for the liking of certain media and academic types.

.... The occurance of Tragic and Horrific events ...

The parasites and muckrakers of the maintream media have been rolling in it since last Friday when the news of psycho cartoon character wanna be James Holmes broke.

I was on vacation but .... thanks to satellite TV (NOT) ... had to endure the mindless repetition and distortion puked up by the likes of ABC TV for at least part of the weekend.

I caught the uninformed blather of Brian Ross on the ABC  program "Good Morning America" while unintentionally diverted from the coverage of the "Open". It took about 40 seconds for the turd to offer a manufactured link to the Tea Party ....

There’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year. Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it’s Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.

 Apparently ... this dyed in the wool conservative hating media liberal shitwit ... found the Colorado Tea Party website and searched for the name James Holmes ... found the name and proceeded to track down his family. On finding a woman in California who answered the telephone to a researcher he lied about what they found. The woman told a researcher ... who was asking if SHE was the mother of the Colorado Tea Party Member Holmes ... that SHE was the right person. No doubt proud of her boy Jim.

I'm surprised that the show host on ABC’s Good Morning America, anchor George Stephanolpoulos took this “report” from  Ross without question. But that's the way they ROLL at ABC....

Since that piece of disgraceful and slanderous bit of journalistic fraud, there has been an continuous stream of politicized media reports and spin using the heinous act as a pretext for shoving one bullshit agenda after another on the public.

The anti-gun activists, the anti-violence in movies freaks, the social engineering advocates (freaks and frauds) of all descriptions, feminists claiming it's about them and their agenda, gay rights "spokes people"claiming it's about THEM,  race baiting shit disturbers claiming the perp is "racist' and lastly the biggest phony in the USA ... Barack Obama ... chiming in with is own unasked for two bits worth of platitude.
Three days after the fact the same MSM continue to offer up a steady stream of sensationalised reports, rife with speculation and conjecture. Giving their pet list of "experts, analysts and commentors" still more platform from which to self promote and prevaricate. Add to that the useless bunch of celebrity pimps in the "entertainment news" attempting to spin the story in hopes of alleviating whatever supposed fears the public may have about going out to see the same movie. Can't have the Film Industry suffer eh?

What do ALL these people have in common? Not what you might think ... if you think it's because they are actually CONCERNED about what the Colorado Psycho did in that theater.

What they have in COMMON is the fact that they are all self centered, self important, misanthropic frauds without a shred of common sense or common decency who will use ANY excuse to promote themselves or their "causes" without any regard for people who are actually affected by this.

We'll see the end of this gargantuan waste of tax dollars ..... here in Canada too .....

While driving to work today I heard a bit of blurb on the US budget politics being played out and a proposal to cut funding to public broadcasting corp in the US..... as it turns out the liberal intelligentsia are all over it ......

Kate at SDA has a well placed juxtaposition of the convenient ... as in truth of the moment ... manner so typical of the privileged liberal.

On the one hand public broadcasting receives less than 10 % of its funding from the government (in the USA) ... on the other hand talking about cutting any amount of the 10% is tantamount to child abuse and the end of days for a hopey changey world.

Back in the land of people who actually have to work for a living .... so we can pay our taxes ... and end up subsidizing these little islands of sanctimonious liberal viewpoint ... some of us don't give a crap.
By and large we do not watch the public broadcasters because we do not care for the material they offer ... outside of a few decent concert series .... the bulk of the programming is just rehashed garbage from other sources that nobody would even know about if not for the desperate need for low cost material in the not for profit sphere.

So .... how many people really benefit from US public broadcasting?

I'd hazard to guess that it is a lot less than the 38million claimed by the NPR CEO....

But after all that's America ... and THIS is Canada ... where the CBC gets over a billion$ from the taxpayers every year to sustain a clique of liberal elites who produce nothing of value (unless you happen to be a member of the parasitic class yourself) and they insist on telling us all that this shit is actually sunshine.

And if only this were the end of it! The rest of the Canadian broadcast cabal get hundreds of millions as well ... as if CTV and the rest are not businesses that are supposed to be earning their fair share for the benefit of their shareholders but rather just PBS lite.

Unfortunately this sort of self propagating dependence on public funding permeates the entire broadcast print media. And do not get me started on arts production especially film in Canada.

For my money I'd like to see all these parasites probosces permanently removed from the public flesh. Cut then off 100% .... let them go out and earn their livings ... let them prove by doing for themselves that they deserve to survive.

But of course ... as with all liberals ... what has actually been a favor of largess by the public has become for them an entitlement.

Here is how Queensland University's Professor Ove Hoegh-Guldberg, a world expert on coral reefs and climate change, describes what happened when he contributed a small slice of the 2007 IPCC report:

"The IPCC has one of the most rigorous review processes I have ever experienced...."

Observe that Neither one of them actually know whether there was any so called peer review ... or bother to ask. They simply follow the doctrine that because the IPCC claimed that there was peer review ..... that it must be so.

In the case of the cited interview and article by ABC Australia's Margot O'Neill. it happened back in November and therefore she may claim ignorance of the issues in regard to the IPCC's lack of credibility. BUT .... since I and many others were well aware of the nature of the IPCC and it's cohort well before that time (2 years) ..... exactly WHY that should be a valid defence would be beyond reason.

But for the matter of the quoted scientist and so called expert ... if that is the most rigorous review process he ever experienced, it should make everyone ask "Just what sort of peer review HAVE you experienced?

The "experts" who resort to sources of accreditation for their credibility seem to miss the fact that they ...themselves ...have undermined or allowed to be undermined... those very sources.

A house of cards .... dwellings built upon sand.

Seems to me the scientific community has forgotten the principle keeping you own house in good order and the foundations in proper repair.

Instead of doing that by maintaining vigilant scrutiny of the institutions they rely on for checks and balances. Instead of keeping their own house in order, it seems that they as a group .... have allowed their house to be undermined and infested.

As for the MSM .... stupider by the day. Beyond hope... beyond redemption.

Climategate: Michael Mann's very unhappy New Year

As I said yesterday, one of our jobs this year is to wipe the complacent smiles off the smug faces of the lobbyists, “experts”, “scientists”, politicians and activists pushing AGW.

This is why I am so glad to report that Michael Mann – creator of the incredible Hockey Stick curve and one of the scientists most heavily implicated in the Climategate scandal – is about to get a very nasty shock. When he turns up to work on Monday, he’ll find that all 27 of his colleagues at the Earth System Science Center at Penn State University have received a rather tempting email inviting them to blow the whistle on anyone they know who may have been fraudulently misusing federal grant funds for climate research.

Under US law, regardless of whether or not a prosecution results, the whistleblower stands to make very large sums of money: it is based on a percentage of the total government funds which have been misused, in this case perhaps as much as $50 million.
