The Best Way to Spend a Week of Winter

Go to Florida! Spend more than a week if possible and as long as you can in any case.

Some thoughts on a trip to the Gulf Coast:

• The worst day on the Gulf is better than any day in -30 degree Winnipeg.
• Waking up to 60 F still means you can have coffee on the deck in your PJs.
• A day of 80 F weather means you're in the right place at the right time.
• A walk on the beach is better for your soul than anything else I know.
• A nap on a deck chair in the sun is a close second to  walk on the beach.
• Fresh seafood alone makes the trip worthwhile.
• Cruising the gulf boulevard in a convertible is the best.
• It's hard to find food that is not fried, extremely heavy or a salad in Florida. You may as well give in.
• There are lots of really stupid drivers in Florida .... many may be from other places, but the number of FL plates involved in the seemingly non-stop display of traffic incidents and close calls is staggering,
• The political ads are unbelievably insulting, A special election is underway for a congressional seat. The Democrat ads consist of nothing but hysterical fear mongering and lies. According to Democrats ... stating facts (by Republicans) amounts to slander. However, blatant false claims (by Democrats) amounts to fair and honest criticism. The reek of desperation is thick.
• Local TV people in Florida are as dumb as they come!
• The good thing is that the TV has an off switch and the Gulf is just outside. Fuck politics.

It has not been much of a secret the the US EPA has been pursuing a continuous binge of regulatory interference in the daily lives of American citizens and industry.

This certainly did not start with the current administration in Washington. In fact, the underlying bureaucratic fascism of big government organizations was apparent in many ways since the days of its inception under Nixon in 1970. Of course, they really hit their ideological stride under Carter's nurse nanny brand of socialist meddling and have never had to look back at the damage they have done to the the USA. Simply forging ahead with one ill considered (or considered for ill effect and implemented regardless) after the last in an avalanche of soul killing regulation, the EPA has become a juggernaut of economic destruction rolling over nearly every aspect of commerce and individual activity.

Small wonder then that the America hating President Obama and his cohort of socialist provocateurs would have taken up the job of feeding the beast to further their own destructive goals. And so it comes about that one their own is now confirming the fact.

Fear Loathing and Liberal Guilt

Without getting into a long winded rehash of all the reasons for its existence and what White Liberal Guilt is, let's just admit that it has been one of the factors in play getting American Liberals to vote the vile little man that is Barack Obama into the Presidential Office TWICE.

However, the damage has been done for now and it raises the question "What Next?" ...

Beyond the upcoming elections in 2014 we are still faced with with the the same problems of how liberal voters are motivated and who is doing the motivating.

#1 - FEAR

Fear of being accused of not being good enough or smart enough to understand what is "at stake". While "what is at stake" is never clearly defined, it is implicit that the only way keep really bad things from happening and to satisfy the expectations of your moral and intellectual superiors is to vote Democrat. Fear is a favorite thing of the media.

#2 - LOATHING

Loathing has two faces. First the outward looking loathing that can be directed at perceived enemies and second the inward looking form that is a toxic brew of self doubt, anxiety, fear (funny how that seems to keep coming up) and prejudice. If you are not good enough you can't be "one of us". How convenient! Just let your moral and intellectual superiors tell you what is wrong with you and then let them "Save" you from your self. What a beautiful scam. Self loathing is the favorite thing of the "progressive" left.

#3 - LIBERAL GUILT

Liberal guilt, especially white liberal guilt is the result that progressives desire to instil in people who should rightly be afraid of the progressives. Once fear and self doubt has been successfully seeded in the minds of liberals the guilt can be used to cement the whole nasty mess together.

Fear, loathing and guilt are the three toxic parts that combine in a miasma that blocks reason and destroys the individual. They are weapons of the mind that destroy perception of reality and create a vacuum that will be filled with something. That something will not be reason or truth.

We know how the parts have been stirred and seasoned to bring about the acceptance of Barack Obama. How will they be remixed for Hillary Clinton?

Breath, Blood and DNA

The US government agency -NHTSA- is in the process of conducting what they describe as a "Survey" to gauge the incidence of impaired driving.

This survey apparently is being conducted in 30 US cities and involves local police service personnel  pulling vehicles from the road and confronting drivers with a "request" to submit themselves to breath analysis and to provide both blood and DNA (saliva) samples. Once a driver has been forced off the road they are presented with a list of "options" for compliance with the supposedly voluntary screening. However, what they do not know is that as soon as they roll down their window, a device held by the agent/officer has already taken a reading  of the air in the car. They have no way of knowing this unless they read a waver in the document (small print).

The mind boggles at the outrageous behaviour and arrogance of the NHTSA which is conducting the program and the local police or other agents who are willing to break the law to implement these tests.

Follow the money backing this sorry prosecutorial hack job and it will lead right to the top of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Of course, Chief Justice Abrahamson has never considered recusing herself when penning her opinions on issues that directly impact those who gave big money to get her elected. Those very same big money PAC's who spent untold dollars on television advertising to get their friend Shirley reelected have rigged the justice system utilizing the power they now weld in Wisconsin Supreme Court "pay to play" politics at its worse. The violation of the separation of powers doctrine stinks to high heaven as the Chief Justice hides behind her retired judge friends who she has appointed to help the malicious prosecutor trample on our Constitution. Given that one of Justice Shirley A's major campaign contributors owns a consulting firm that specializes in paper shredding we can expect the shredding to begin. The fact is that John Doe 2 is a witch hunt directed from our very own Witch-in-Chief who shamefully leads our highest court. Let the leaking begin.....

Veterans protesting in DC have been removing BarryCades at the memorials and carrying them to the White House.

Mainstream media are finally forced to take notice, but of course try to falsely describe the BarryCades and armed patrols as a consequence of the government funding impasse. The plain fact of the matter is that the forced closure of parks and memorials is an arbitrary and unnecessary act, that was ordered by the White House as a provocation to the American People.  The National Parks Service could have just sent their employees home on furlough. BUT, they were ordered by the White House to make the parks shutdowns as difficult as possible for the public.

The Washington Veteran's gatherings are not new and the need for setting up BarryCades to public areas is a complete fabrication. All that has happened here is that a venal politician has decided to abuse authority in a perverted and petty political game.

And so a traditional gathering of American Citizens becomes a protest. Not by design of the participants but through the ill considered and abusive manipulations of a government body.

The problem for these clowns in  The WhiteHouse is that they picked a fight with people who were willing to lay their lives on the line for the NATION and who do not have any patience for self important weasel politicos or fear of the jackbooted thugs that are sent out to intimidate them.

Pissing on Trees

The events at the National War Memorial in Washington that transpired yesterday highlight the contempt that government employees in general and the Obama administration in particular, hold for the citizens and public they are paid to serve.

Using the national parks employees to set up barricades, obstructing lawful access by citizens to public spaces, strikes a new low for this administration. The parks service has no resources to keep the public washrooms open ... but they do have the time and staff to erect these barricades and guard them with the sole purpose of antagonizing a group of veterans who had previously arranged to hold a ceremony at the memorial site.

The veteran's group moved the barricades and went ahead with their observances and  plans are under way to continue holding assemblies in protest ... in spite of the lack of washrooms.

As one spokesman for the veteran's group said:
“We have people here that are 80 and 90 years old and they closed down all the bathrooms?” said Tony Nussbaum, a 25-year veteran of the Air Force from Iowa and a leader of the state’s Hero Flight group. “I’m about to just start pissing on the trees.” …

I think that much more pissing on trees is in order.

Rally Not Covered by the Legacy Media

I doubt if you've seen any more of this  2 Million Biker Rally and protest  than I have in the lame liberal agenda media.

Two key points ...
1- Estimates of the turnout for the bike rally are 880,000 ...  plenty big event that shut down the road system around DC.

2- The insulting efforts by a group of 9/11 truthers and other assholes to hold a "million muslim" march failed to garner more than two dozen of that ilk.
