A so called "complaint" about underage workers was filed against a Saskatchewan farm family and their business.

They are now under investigation by bureaucrats for violations of health and safety and labour practices.

This is a perfect example of how useless people in government jobs are incapable of having or using common sense. It also demonstrates the need for DEEP cuts to public payrolls and radical simplification or outright elimination of the empowering regulations that these parasites thrive on.

The owners of a farm in east-central Saskatchewan say they're shocked they are being investigated by the province after it received a complaint about minors working in the family's processing business.
"I was flabbergasted," Janeen Covlin said about the investigation by the Occupational Health and Safety Division (OHS). "Our whole farm vision was to include our kids."

It has not been much of a secret the the US EPA has been pursuing a continuous binge of regulatory interference in the daily lives of American citizens and industry.

This certainly did not start with the current administration in Washington. In fact, the underlying bureaucratic fascism of big government organizations was apparent in many ways since the days of its inception under Nixon in 1970. Of course, they really hit their ideological stride under Carter's nurse nanny brand of socialist meddling and have never had to look back at the damage they have done to the the USA. Simply forging ahead with one ill considered (or considered for ill effect and implemented regardless) after the last in an avalanche of soul killing regulation, the EPA has become a juggernaut of economic destruction rolling over nearly every aspect of commerce and individual activity.

Small wonder then that the America hating President Obama and his cohort of socialist provocateurs would have taken up the job of feeding the beast to further their own destructive goals. And so it comes about that one their own is now confirming the fact.

That testimony comes on page 21 of Beale’s deposition. He testified to his belief that while environmental regulations in the United States have been successfull, “we’re reaching the limits of the traditional regulatory process…largely because the fundamental dynamic of the capitalistic system is for businesses and individuals to try to externalize all costs.” That, combined with the limits of technology to limit the movement of pollution around the globe, necessitated this project to “modify the DNA” of capitalism.
Beale testified that current EPA head Gina McCarthy was aware of and interested in the anti-capitalist project. He says that the project never got beyond the first phase, before he was outed for fraud.

The Canadian Standards Association

There has been a series of eye opening articles about the CSA and how they operate in Canada.

These articles originate with "RestoreCSA.com" which is website set up to record the facts behind a lawsuit initiated by the CSA against a consultant P.S. Knight Co. Ltd. over use of published material.

Some of the startling revelations brought to light in these articles include evidence of  an astounding overreach by what is basically a not for profit private corporation that has taken upon itself to act as an arm of the Canadian Government. The CSA has quietly over the years become an out of control entity that operates far beyond its mandate. The time to put an end to this rampant abuse is now.

A short list of the improprieties and scandals that center on the CSA and often involve Federal government agencies such as Industry Canada and various Provincial and local governments and their respective regulatory powers include:

• Influence peddling and improper relationships between directors of the CSA and government bureaucracies (jobs as reward and in exchange for cooperation)
• Code cycle adjustments (abuse of power to change regulations that inflict unnecessary and costs on business and governments)
• Predatory competitive practices (another abuse of power and position)
• Improper relationships with commercial interests (pay to play shakedowns)
• Misappropriation

The CSA is constantly lobbying government for more of your money. In the last twelve months, the CSA arranged twenty-eight meetings with government officials to request funding. And that's just the Federal Government, the CSA is also active provincially and municipally.
Among the highlights, the CSA asked the Federal Government for "funding from Health Canada for the Product Safety Project Committee." But this committee is run by volunteers, they are unpaid. So the CSA wants money to pay for unpaid volunteers. They also asked for funding to "update" the NGV codes (B108 and B109 specifically). But CSA sells these codes for $190 each, so why is government expected to pay CSA's product development costs? Then the CSA asked for "funding [...] for development of storm water training modules." Again, the government is expected to pay CSA to develop a training program that CSA would then sell commercially.
The CSA has registered forty-three lobbyists with the Federal Government. Beyond this, the CSA has contracted Global Public Affairs to lobby government on their behalf. Global Public Affairs has subsequently registered five additional lobbyists on behalf of the CSA.

Breath, Blood and DNA

The US government agency -NHTSA- is in the process of conducting what they describe as a "Survey" to gauge the incidence of impaired driving.

This survey apparently is being conducted in 30 US cities and involves local police service personnel  pulling vehicles from the road and confronting drivers with a "request" to submit themselves to breath analysis and to provide both blood and DNA (saliva) samples. Once a driver has been forced off the road they are presented with a list of "options" for compliance with the supposedly voluntary screening. However, what they do not know is that as soon as they roll down their window, a device held by the agent/officer has already taken a reading  of the air in the car. They have no way of knowing this unless they read a waver in the document (small print).

The mind boggles at the outrageous behaviour and arrogance of the NHTSA which is conducting the program and the local police or other agents who are willing to break the law to implement these tests.

Who appointed retired Justice Neal Nettesheim (John Doe #1) and retired Judge Kluka to oversee these secret John Doe tribunals akin to our secret military tribunals and every bit as constitutionally vacant? None other than Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson. She and she alone has the legal authority to appoint her favored retired minions to do her dirty work. Lets not forget who butters her bread. When she ran in 2009 she had no problem raking in well over $500,000 from PAC's from the left (Advancing Wisconsin and the Greater Wisconsin Committee). SEIU and AFSCME generously contributed up to the limit filling Justice Shirley A's campaign purse with tens of thousands of union backed dollars. Follow the money backing this sorry prosecutorial hack job and it will lead right to the top of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Of course, Chief Justice Abrahamson has never considered recusing herself when penning her opinions on issues that directly impact those who gave big money to get her elected. Those very same big money PAC's who spent untold dollars on television advertising to get their friend Shirley reelected have rigged the justice system utilizing the power they now weld in Wisconsin Supreme Court "pay to play" politics at its worse. The violation of the separation of powers doctrine stinks to high heaven as the Chief Justice hides behind her retired judge friends who she has appointed to help the malicious prosecutor trample on our Constitution. Given that one of Justice Shirley A's major campaign contributors owns a consulting firm that specializes in paper shredding we can expect the shredding to begin. The fact is that John Doe 2 is a witch hunt directed from our very own Witch-in-Chief who shamefully leads our highest court. Let the leaking begin.....

Yes indeed .... another example of how the Democrat party is basically a criminal enterprise that exists for it's own sake. The corrupt pursuit of power at any any cost and by any means.

What is OFA?

Well ... simply put ... it (Organizing for Action) is an invention of the Obama election team that enabled the political supporters to run interference for the Obama administration across social media.

The volunteers who sign up to the OFA group are encouraged to repeat what are supposed to be talking points generated by the administration and "report" supposedly unfavorable views found in news or web based reporting and commentary.

OFA is essentially a cyber mob of  wind up tools that are sent about to swarm the enemies of the Chicago Jeezuz.

Joe Stalin, Joseph Goebels and Chairman Mao would be so proud.

How Generous !  Obama claims he will "ALLOW" people to keep their plans until 2014!

Never mind that: a) He has no authority to change the law he shoved down everyone's throat. b) 2014 is less than two months away.

One of the things that truly pisses me off is the utter lack of consequences faced by any group of protesters who manage to get a bunch of natives to camp out with them.

Blocking roads, interfering with lawful activities of people and businesses, destruction of private and public property, threats and assaults all go largely unreported. For the most part, the thugs in the group are kept well out of view from the scores of cameras present while the media and individuals inclined to support the protests focus on the hodge-podge of women and drum bangers who make a point of pushing themselves into the faces of any security forces that are assembled.

Meanwhile, in the background there are thugs with their faces covered hurling threats and obscenities. So long as the cameras are misdirected at the theatrics these cretins can hide out of sight with weapons and attack vehicles with firebombs.

For those of you with shitty and short memories ... or just painful ignorance of what is going on in the world besides the daily headline slop in the mainstream media.... this is exactly how the Clintons progressed through the years of their careers and continue to thrive like maggots on a corpse.

Guitars and Politics

Four years of abuse of office by Democrats. Political influence in US regulatory and enforcement agencies. Was Gibson a test of their abilities?

Gibson was targeted by DoJ in 2009 ...   for violations of  the"Lacey Act" concerning the purchase and import of woods from "unauthorized" or banned sources. The act itself is a complicated mess that depends on both arbitrary designations of endangered species and environmental risk in addition to specious local regulations created in the regions where the specialty woods are sourced.

Besides the apparent over reach of regulators through the auspices of the US Fish and Wildlife Service, I thought at the time that this ought to have been a problem for the every US based guitar manufacturer. In the course of watching for further news in regard to there was no evidence  that Fender or any of the lesser string instrument makers were facing ay such investigation or charges. The subsequent failure by Gibson to successfully fight the charges in the legal realm and their eventual admission of guilt seemed to put an end to it.

It turns out however, that others have been keeping an eye on that story and there is now a theory that seems to fit with that very unequal application of the law and law enforcement.

In light of the recent exposure of US Government agencies systematic targeting of POLITICAL opponents to the Obama government and the Democrat party, it does not seem too far fetched that as early as 2009 in the first year of the Obama administration, that we find evidence of politically motivated attacks on American business and individuals. And so, it turns out that the executive management of privately owned Gibson were Republican supporters while at least some of their competitors were substantially supportive of Democrats.

Basically ... we have reason to suspect that Obama's team of rabid weasels have been at this sort of thing since 2009. 

The Power to Investigate Serves What Purpose?

The power given to law enforcement agencies is intended for the service and protection of the public.

What sort of government abuses this authority to protect their political image?

The government that is being directed by Barack Obama and his cronies it seems.

I noted in an earlier post ... the justice dept. of the US went a long way and way out of the bounds of their authority to snoop on journalists from Associated Press. I speculated that perhaps AP reporters were onto something that would be embarrassing to the current administration, however it turns out that the motivation was something far less important.

As it turns out ... the fawning and subservient (to their Obama / Democrat) had been playing ball with the administration over a story about a supposed terror plot that was successfully foiled by the CIA. The media had been been given a premature notice of the story and had been sitting on that information, supposedly waiting for the go ahead notice from the CIA.

Meanwhile, the White House had bee planning to make a Public Announcement of their own. Supposedly, this would be a PR win for the Obama administration amid the rising public disaffection and the mounting failures of this government. The administration requested AP to hold off for one more day under the pretense that it was still a national security issue, in spite of the fact that the CIA had already completed their work and released the information. The White House plans were spoiled however, as the AP decided to release the story.

Once the story was released by AP, the Obama administration had a temper tantrum and sent the Justice Department to conduct an intrusive and likely illegal investigation into AP reporters activities, including the acquisition of telephone records over a span of two months.

What this boils down to is that the news media were playing ball and the government agencies were doing what they were supposed to do. The politicians in the White House tried to make political points using same information and the AP told the story first. There was no security issue and there was no illegal leaking of information.

The Justice Department under Eric Holder acted as political tool for the administration and laws were broken to satisfy the needs of a group of corrupt and self serving Democrats in the White House.

This is what the Obama gang do to people who do not play ball with their POLITICAL agenda.

Electronic Evesdropping .....

Some of you maybe aware that New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg made his billions providing investment services and information services to investment firms.

The managed data service provided by Bloomberg LP consists of data terminals for brokers and traders and their agents that are networked through the Bloomberg information management service. The subscribers to the service pay as much as $20,000 a year for each terminal depending on the information feeds and connectivity being provided. Brokers  access market data and news feeds through the system and have access to trading facilities. There are statistical and historical data tools and facilities for direct communication and data sharing between users.
The data terminals are used by just about every bank, financial services company and trader in the USA.

Bloomberg also happens to own a news organization.

It has come to light that reporters working for Bloomberg News, regularly and over a period of years used an internal access to the the customer data system to  monitor the activity of those subscribers.
