One Down

The premier of Alberta is now the former premier of Alberta.

Thanks to the grass roots of the Alberta PC party the ex-PM has been forced to account for her inability to control her impulsive and spendthrift behavior.

This is a sound lesson to conservative party associations everywhere. You do have the power to take back your party from CINO and progressive frauds who hijack the organization and/or betray the principals of the party.

Keep up the good work Alberta.

The Land of Pimps and Whores

The Supreme Court of Canada has struck down the sections of the criminal code regarding prostitution, bawdy houses and pandering.

Apparently it is now open season for whore mongering.

Word from the pimps and whores is "We cried tears of joy!"

As an aside just what the hell does the "Sex Trade Industry" produce? Besides STDs and finances for criminals that is.

Bring Back Trust

Well it might mean something completely different to Quebecers than it does to people who live in the real world.

Former Canadian Immigration Minister Denis Coderre, who vowed to “bring back trust” to municipal politics, was elected mayor of Montreal, becoming the city’s fourth leader in the past year.

In an election that stemmed from the province wide corruption scandals Coderre is the fourth mayor for Montreal in the last year.

My memory of Coderre is something less than an honourable or honest politician. Rather a venal Liberal party insider who is entirely steeped in the Quebec liberal culture of corruption as exemplified by the Chretien gang and their proven ties to organized crime. Fraud, graft, extortion and political influence peddling ....The Libranos ... persist.

Librano$ Names of Interest: Benoit Corbeil, Joe Morselli, Alain Renaud, Real Ouimet, Denis Coderre, Allan Rock, Brian Tobin, Jean Brault, Paul Coffin and Jean Lafleur, Chuck Guité.

Mission Creep .... Or .... The Self Important and Self Serving Bureaucrat

You might wonder just how a government agency that has ONE simple job to do ends up insinuating itself into nearly every part of your life. Or maybe you don't wonder.

However ....

http://www.restorecsa.com/news/article/the-empire-builders

Empires tend to be built on the backs of the little people, to benefit the big people, to the detriment of all people.  The mandate of the CSA is microscopic, its coordinative and secretarial, their actual responsibilities could be accomplished with 10 - 12 full time staff and about $6MM in annual budget.  Yet the CSA has over 1,600 full time staff and an annual budget of more than a quarter billion dollars.  The CSA has been relentlessly expanded beyond its original mandate by a series of self serving corporate cogs, what used to be called “company men,” enticed to CSA by the prospect of building their own petty fiefdoms within the protected confines of an unaccountable government entity.  And the result is clear to see.  The CSA has become a bloated, bumbling bureaucracy, a red tape empire of mandarins masquerading as contributors, abusing the people who pay for their princely positions.
So what is CSA supposed to be doing?  Well, the CSA was created to; 1) “coordinate the efforts of producers and others for the improvement and standardization of engineering materials,” and to;  2) “promote the general adoption of standards in connection with engineering structures” and related.  In other words, the CSA was coordinative or, in CSA’s terms, “administrative in nature.”
Now however, the CSA regards itself as a “full solutions provider” rather than a secretary with a tiny mandate, the source of solutions “in areas as diverse as life itself.”  You caught that?  The CSA thinks that the breadth of their mandate is comparable to “life itself.”  The CSA is not afflicted with low self esteem.

The CSA needs to have it's knees knocked out and CEO Ash Sahi needs to find a job i the real world (although unlikely to succeed he would learn a few things  about humility and minding your own damned business).

Reminder ... YOU the CSA need to focus on checking those Chinese electrical outlets and other crap for safe operation and compliance with Canadian Safety Standards.

And don't get me started o the BS about wood burning stoves that have been in operation for 50 years but suddenly are deemed to be not safe.

Because .... They Can

One of the things that truly pisses me off is the utter lack of consequences faced by any group of protesters who manage to get a bunch of natives to camp out with them.

Blocking roads, interfering with lawful activities of people and businesses, destruction of private and public property, threats and assaults all go largely unreported. For the most part, the thugs in the group are kept well out of view from the scores of cameras present while the media and individuals inclined to support the protests focus on the hodge-podge of women and drum bangers who make a point of pushing themselves into the faces of any security forces that are assembled.

Meanwhile, in the background there are thugs with their faces covered hurling threats and obscenities. So long as the cameras are misdirected at the theatrics these cretins can hide out of sight with weapons and attack vehicles with firebombs.

New Brunswick
So just how is it that the act of incinerating these vehicles has apparently escaped the scores of cameras?

Peaceful protest tools

We'll see soon enough if anyone faces the full consequences of the violent and completely illegal occupation on public property or any of the other criminal activities.
If you can stomach it.... here's the CBC version of events.....

Boo Freekin Hooo

Under the category of "Consequences" or perhaps ... serves you right ...

A Montreal woman who decided to move to the village  of Manor Saskatchewan seems to have trouble fitting in.

Danielle Duperre called 911 last week when she thought the blaze from her neighbour's fire pit was getting out of control, but says she didn't expect to face a tirade about her "petty" French complaint as a result.
Duperre said she fell in love with Saskatchewan a few years ago when she started making trips to the province for construction jobs. She made friends and decided to move.
She settled on Manor, a community of 320 people, when she saw her dream house -- a character home built in 1905. She has been busy renovating the building and also rents out two other properties she purchased in town.

It's tough breaking into a tight-knit community, she said, adding one resident once asked her why she didn't move to a nearby French town instead.
And although she has had some problems with village staff over delayed garbage collection, Duperre said she never called the fire department before last week.
She said she doesn't want to move, but doesn't know if she wants to stay either.
All she knows for sure is that she wants the fire chief gone from his job.
"If he cannot control himself, his emotions, how can he control a fire?"

Yeah right ... sounds to me like this stupid broad thinks that everyone should just shut up and do what she wants.

Cops Defend Busting Cheerleader

They would .... wouldn't they?

Because ticketing students who are NOT breaking the law is easier than controlling actual hooligans?

Deputy chief of police Brent Shea claimed the rowdy crowd that day was the reason for the ticket.

Never mind that the rowdy crowd gathered largely after the police interfered with the impromptu cheer leading.

Or, that most of  the supposed public intoxication and acts of rowdyism occurred not on the street but rather at residences where university students lived.

Kind of funny ... how when the commies and their fellow drum banging freak show travelers are breaking the law .... those individuals get a protection detail for as long as they care to hang around.

Marc Nadon for Supreme Court Justice

This can only be a good thing ....

Marc Nadon, a judge on the Federal Court of Appeal who once wrote a powerful dissent in which he supported the Canadian government’s position in a case brought by Guantanamo prisoner Omar Khadr, has been named to the Supreme Court of Canada.
He is not a judge to mince words, as is evident in his dissent from the appeal court’s majority ruling in 2009 that Canada was legally obliged to try to bring Mr. Khadr, an accused (and now convicted) terrorist, home from the U.S. prison.

And the Liberal Canadian media are having a shit fit!

Why Education Costs Are Inflated

It should be no surprise to anyone that education costs are going up.

In the USA ...

Mr. Vedder sees similarities between the government's higher education and housing policies, which created a bubble and precipitated the last financial crisis. "In housing, we had artificially low interest rates. The government encouraged people with low qualifications to buy a house. Today, we have low interest rates on student loans. The government is encouraging kids to go to school who are unqualified just as it encouraged people to buy a home who are unqualified."

Just in case any smug Canadians think they are on some higher moral plane in this matter....

The only difference here is that  Canadian universities and colleges were socialized under government control before anyone in the USA even considered it. And, the real costs hidden under taxpayer subsidies for all that time.

On the home owner front, the CMHC has been using taxpayer money to subsidize banks mortgage risk since 1948.  What began as an effort to help Canadians recover from WWII and kick start the housing industry has been turned into a scam to force taxpayers to prop up banks that make bad mortgage loans to people who cannot and therefore should not be qualified for home loans.

It is the primary reason that a house built in 1953 for $4000 might now sell for as much as $500,000 in some markets.

Should taxpayers be used to create inflated house costs or inflated education costs?

Not in my view.

David Suzuki ... Hater of Humanity

The only thing that anyone needs to know about David Suzuki is that he does not speak for Canada or Canadians.

The underlying reasons for the ongoing public existence (if anyone really cares) of the attention seeking, pompous little twerp and the media attention he is awarded lies in a long ago recognition he was given as a genetics researcher.

To be clear, the work he did back in the 1960s was lauded mostly by media and promoted publicly by Canadian politicians in the all too familiar desperation of those inflicted with the all too common inferiority complex of our liberal establishment. As with many accomplishments occurring in Canada throughout the years of Liberal government, the merely competent work of one merely competent player was talked up and blown out of all proportion to its real world relevance.

Suzuki has been trading on this love  affair and the slobbering adoration of witless, clueless fools in the mainstream media ever since.

All of his crusading efforts have been tinged with the sanctimonious elitism that is the result of the overblown sense of importance and entitlement. The attention that has fed the ego and rotted away any connection to reality that may once have existed continues for some reason. Closer inspection reveals that, below the all too frequent assertions and pronouncements of his somehow holding a moral or intellectual high ground, lies the fundamental contempt for people and any ideas they hold contrary to his own self centered world view. He the elitist liberal demagog preaching his self derived morality and exposing his true nature at every turn.

The most recent example ... thanks Dave ... is his assertions to a French journalist that Canada is Full!
Of course what he means is that Canada has too many people who do things like build homes and drive cars and use energy and eat food.

David Suzuki, believes that he has the right to deny anyone and everyone the things that he enjoys. The fact that he enjoys all these things in undeserved proportion to most other Canadians seldom crosses the mind of his supporters and certainly never his own.

Undeserved ... the word that best describes every consideration that Suzuki has enjoyed since 1971 or so.

If The People are Stupid Enough ...

... to leave the rebuilding up to you and your pals ... then Yeah it might!

Flood recovery to take ten years ... Redford.

Meanwhile .... Guess Who buried the ongoing flood analysis report for 5 years!

Redford was a cabinet minister (justice) for the incompetent nincompoop Ed Stelmach and part of the government that buried the flood study that went back to 2002. No particular reason besides the improbability of that bunch of clowns doing ANYTHING useful ... ever.

Objectively .... Redford and the fake Conservative government should be getting their asses kicked.

Nobody with an ounce of sense or ability is going to wait for the Alberta Government to do anything.

One thing you can bet on is that Alie the Goon will find this "crisis" an excellent excuse to push new taxes on Abertans.

BC Provincial Election

Summary:

1- Bimbo tossed out of her home riding.
2- Commies not embraced by people with jobs, property, ambition, integrity or functioning brain.
3- Greenies get one of their club on the mainline to the public teat.
4- Conservatives get what they deserve for running with a moron for a leader (only the leftards can get away with that)

In the aftermath:

Reality still eludes the Bimbo...

The winning party managed to hang on despite the Bimbo and the Bimbo is taking credit for the win.
The liberal party escaped oblivion that was brought to them by the Bimbo in charge by the mere fact that every other political choice in front of the BC voter was even more disgusting.

(with apologies to bimbos everywhere who are insulted  being compared to Christy Clark)

Canada's Taxpayer Funded Propaganda Machine

No question about it ... the CBC is run by people whose sole purpose is to support the idea that in Canada, there is one and only one "Natural Governing Party".

The CBC will play the role of soapbox and megaphone for the other leftwing political entities from the Party Quebecois separatist traitors to the communist manifesto loving NDP to the freakshow Green party. But when it comes to the LPC there is a special love affair.

The news as presented by CBC is a continuous drip of fauning and supportive opinion in coverage of all things related to the liberals. The propagation of politically correct and "progressive" opinions is the standard for the CBC. Never mind that this is all based on falsehood and distorted world views.

To the CBC this is bread and butter.

Small Dead Animals observes:

2009: CBC Refuses to run CPC anti-Ignatieff attack ads. "We'll only accept political advertising like that when there is an election campaign on," he told Canwest. "We have generally pretty strict guidelines."
2013: Justin Trudeau's "teacher" ad aired on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada during the Ottawa/Philadelphia broadcast tonight, at least once. I must have missed Stephen Harper's visit to Rideau Hall earlier today.
You can pester the Ombudsman by email and Twitter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just as a reminder ... WE taxpayers contribute  $1.5 BILLION dollars every year to keep this fraud going.
To reflect on what we do and do not need the CBC for:
  • We do not need the CBC to act as gatekeepers of political commentary (although the LPC, NDP, Green and Separatist parties clearly do).
  • We do not need the CBC to see our sports broadcasts (which the CBC does a damned poor job of as it is).
  • We do not need the CBC to  learrn about Canada (which the CBC wilfully misrepresents).
  • We do not need the CBC to to hear about opinions from Toronto's liberal elitists.
  • We do not need the CBC to be told what aspects of Canadian culture are important nor do we need the CBC to understand what Canadian culture is.
  •  We do not need the products that are generated by the pathetic efforts of the CBC to produce what they consider relevant Canadian content.
  • We do not need the CBC to rebroadcast and rerun foreign entertainment.
We do not need the CBC represent Canadian culture or opinion because the CBC does NOT represent Canadian culture and in fact represents only the outlook of  Trudeaupian liberalism as viewed from the Toronto to Ottawa to Montreal corridor.
And most of all we DO NOT need to pay $1.5 billion a year to please the people who actually do need this.

Rogue Backbenchers or Just Ridiculous Fools

It's a sad fact of politics that parties pretty much have to take whatever they get in terms of candidates and especially ones that are successfully elected.

The problem is that any fool can run for office and get elected. Witness the entire opposition in the House of Commons.

However, this is not solely a problem for the lefticles and libranos (although they hardly see it as a problem) ... but rather a common affliction suffered by all. The difference between the parties here in Canada is that the commie NDP just accept loons and losers like hippies accept crab lice and venereal disease. The Libs just try to pretend that it isn't moonbattery but genius.

But for conservatives such things ARE a problem.

Medicocre political hacks who manage to get elected are expected to make every effort to behave like adults and learn how to play on the TEAM. Those who can't manage this or refuse to, need to be taught a lesson. Those who will not learn need to be booted.

And so it goes for MP Mark Warawa who has decided that his personal agenda is more important than dealing with the business of governing this nation. Who's childishly petulant demand that he be allowed to waste our government's time making moral pronouncements is a right to which he is entitled. Who continues to behave like an attention seeking adolescent while the adults in the room have made it plain that he is out of line.

I feel no sympathy for this fool.

I also completely understand why his juvenile antics appeal so much to the clowns in opposition and to the slavering morons in the media. Mark Warawa is "one of theirs". He is an entitled and attention seeking clown who is out of his depth in serious matters and seeks to bring the discussion down to his own pathetic level of understanding. He panders to the unthinking and irresponsible for no other reason than to appear to be a person of import.

He is not a person of import.

$18 Million Northern Building is FUBAR

I'm guessing this is a "LEEDS" qualified project that all the politicians and bureaucrats love so much. But aside from phony baloney environment certifications the fundamental problem in this story is that the Federal Government Agency is trying to shift the focus from what happened under their supervision to theoretical discussions about thermal gain due to architectural design.

From the insufferable Globe & Mail: (with my edits to cut out a load of crap)

"A real Northern mystery has settled on the RCMP’s new $18-million Iqaluit headquarters, which is sinking into the permafrost for reasons that almost no one wants to talk about." More than two years have passed since part of the three-storey detachment office began to crack and settle ... yet only one person connected to the project will offer a full explanation – and he says it’s sabotage.

Bill Watt of Arctic Foundations of Canada Inc. (AFC) said the passive foundational cooling system he installed to keep the ground solid was deliberately damaged. He installed cooling system into the foundation in 2006.

“Somebody sabotaged two of them,” said Mr. Watt, whose Winnipeg company has installed flat-loop thermosyphon systems in projects all across Northern Canada, including eight other buildings in Iqaluit. “Someone opened the valves, and injected water into the pipes” – which then froze and prevented that part of the system from drawing heat away from the ground, he said.

The finished building opened in April, 2010. ....Seven months later, Mr. Watt was told that part of his cooling system had failed, and that the building was settling.

The RCMP referred all questions about its Iqaluit headquarters to Public Works and Government Services Canada, which developed the project. FSC Architects & Engineers and Almiq Contracting Ltd., which together designed and built the structure, said they were contractually barred from talking about it.
Tom Corrigan, a spokesman for Public Works: “It would be premature to speculate on the cause,” he said – even though the problem was discovered more than two years ago.

Mr. Watt said the thermosyphons at the building “functioned perfectly for about four years.” They were installed at least a year before work began above ground, to let the foundation – which also included concrete footings and a special gravel pad – establish itself in the permafrost. AFC monitored the ground temperatures remotely for two years, and saw nothing in the data to indicate any trouble.

Mr. Watt said that after the second year of monitoring, he was told that Public Works would keep tabs on ground temperatures from that point on. But when he heard about the damaged thermosyphons in November, 2010, he looked at Public Works’ ground temperature log and found no records for eight of the previous 12 months.

When he inspected the system, he said, he found that caps on two valves on an outdoor radiator cluster had been removed, and two of the pipes were flooded. “The water came up the pipe more than five feet above ground level,” he said. “There’s no way that can happen naturally.” He believes only a small pump could have put that much fluid in the system. He said the RCMP later got him to change the valve caps so that they could only be opened with a secure Allen key.

(NOTE: You can buy these tools at Canadian Tire)

Mr. Corrigan also said that Public Works will decide how to fix the warming problem by the end of March, and plans to do any necessary remedial work by the fall. But Mr. Watt said the building could sink further unless an active cooling system is installed to relieve the damaged pipe before the spring melt.

Just what you'd expect from an ass covering bureaucrat.

Lefty Tools Face Forced Diet

Loly Rico

Because Canada has cut off the fast track to the gravy train there are fewer "refugees" to justify the existance of immigration "consultants", lawyers and and lefty activists. A nice bonus this last year was the closing of the Syrian office, helping to reduce the total numbers by about 26% from the previous years.

One great benefit is the fact that this is going to help put a nail in the coffin of the fake refugee industry.  Fraudsters, con-artists and criminals who prey on those who might otherwise remain safely within the legal process of immigration. So, all in all we have reduced crime and fraud in an area that needs to be cleaned up and saved our country a whack of money in the process.

This is a WIN in my books.

I have news for you Loly... lower 'fugee numbers means the policy of making it tough on the frauds and criminals is the right policy. Any reduction in your activity is just proof of the part you and your ilk play in cheating Canadians of wealth and security. And, you had better believe that WE are sick and tired of your getting fat at our expense. Get used to the diet program.

The Cumulative Effect ...

Of progressive propaganda and revisionism is just one of the reasons I despise the CBC.

A Job Proposal ....

For Conrad Black

How about this?

The CBC is in desperate need of an attitude adjustment.
Whether through a top-down management shuffle or through a permanent defunding and forced privatisation. The Canadian Broadcast Corp. has long outlived its usefulness ... completely abandoned being relevant to Canadians outside of a few people who call themselves "Friends of Canadian Broadcasting" and in fact completely antagonistic to  more than half the population.

All the while sucking up out tax dollars to the tune of nearly $1.4 BILLION dollars every year.

What better way to accomplish a thorough realignment of the priorities at the Ceeb than to hire Conrad as the new CEO and President? Give him the task of taking the parasitic organisation off the public teet and set them to the business of either proving their worth or selling off the assets paid for by the Canadian public .... and returning out money.

I'd bet that Conrad would be up to the task.

Property Rights on Reserves?

Just as soon as the rest of us get them!

So the question has come up about whether native residents on reserves should have property rights.

Damned RIGHT! Instead of the thugs and thieves who run the reserves having arbitrary power to give and take anything and everything from those they favour or disfavour.

And that goes double for those of us  who earned and paid for the properties we live on, work on or simply invest in.

The sorry fact that Canadians have to live with is  that our government considers us to be vassals and tenants. They allow us to reside where we pay the price to do so... but only so long as it remains convenient for the "Crown" and the representatives of the crown to allow this.

A sad fact that anyone in Canada can have their property confiscated. Led me to wonder just how Americans stood still for the changes in "Eminent Domain" laws that were shoved down their throats by the courts just a few years ago.

Sad...
