Friday's Beer !

From the same folks In Ireland who brought us the tasty RED Celtic last week ......

It's O'Hara's Celtic Stout
In a 500ml bottle at 4.3% abv this is a pretty good example of Stout in my opinion.

And so ... and Celtic Toast to you:

"May the good Lord take a liking to you... But not too soon!"

It's pours well and gives you a nice firm head that take a while to lace. The dark body keeps producing bubbles all along and everything is pretty much as you would expect.

The aroma is strongly herbal from the hops and produces the citrus sensations that so many talk about. I found at first that there was a bit summer hay and a touch of grain in the mix also.

The beer goes smoothly over the tongue and impresses with a nice balance of hop bitterness and toasty caramelized malts that becomes a bit like coffee or bitter chocolate as everything goes past the palate. The sensation is creamy and the finish is clean after all is done.

It's very nice and I would gladly buy another to share with a friend.

Now remember to head on over to www dot dustmybroom dot com for Darcey's picks of Beer and Blues! Friday Night Blues & Beer

Cheers!
