It wouldn't be an election campaign without a policy platform announcement from the NDP.
Jack Layton wants to give you $51 Billion of your money and promises all kinds of goodies like:
Government Run Day Care - for raising your children in the approved manner.
Better Health Care - no word on just what will make it better.
Help for Aboriginals AND Students - just what form that will take is unexplained but likely includes giving away your money to folks who already have claim to plenty of it. Although why students and aboriginals are lumped together in the mind of the socialsts is not clear either.... I can only guess that it is the standard reflex to identify the pet demographics as categorically Victims in need of the Nurse Nanny's warm tit.
In any case you need not worry because Jack has figured out how to do this AND Balance the Budget!
Yeah he's going to TAX the evil "corporations" !
No word either on how he plans to deal with the fallout of THAT idea......
But you can be sure that there will be some kind of Caring program for you after your job goes away.

Heh, this guy Layton when he stands in front of a mic huffing and puffing reminds me of the SCTV skits...by the looks of the boy's ciphering skills I'd bet his VISA statement is a real eye popper.
