Free Speech Is An "American" Concept

Yeah... sure it is. When I first heard some LIberal clown spout that in regard to the matter of the day ( HRCs and their abuse of our individual rights) I was pretty well amazed at the stupidity of it.

Factually incorrect and morally repugnant just like all the best lefty ideas, it immediately causes the gorge to rise in any right thinking and educated person while feeding the delusions and prejudices of your lefty prols. A lovely piece of instant propaganda in a soundbite.

The idea of course denies the fact of our Anglo Saxon Heritage and the historical piece of freedom defining paper known as The Magna Carta.

However the persistence of such themes among the left is truly amazing!

Witness the current display of contempt for freedom of speech among the US Democrats as embodied in their desire for the re-imposition and promotion of The "Fairness" Doctrine .

In case you missed it the first time around this was a Democretin creation that basically said that no matter what you said you were obligated to present an opposing or contradictory view.

It was a convenient way to ensure that all sorts of loons, activists and lying politicians would get equal time to rebut on air broadcasts and therefore lots of public exposure for their crackpot ideas and outright bullshit. Because the so called "Fairness" doctrine required contrary views to be broadcast by law even when the subject is absolutely factual and true!

Just because someone found the fact to be bothersome.

Moral equivalence at it's finest. Truth = Lies

And of course a great way to promote any kind of moonbattery............

So here we are with the Democretins once again in the ascendent on the US power balance and what is the first thing on their minds?
Silencing their critics! and of course forcing others to bear the cost of promoting their own agenda.

So even if you subscribe to the idea that Free Speech is an American concept you must see that the Democrats, like their ideological peers elsewhere, really HATE the Idea.

"The Charter of Rights does NOT give us the right not to be offended. Indeed, it has been said that if you don’t support the concept of freedom of expression for those who you disagree with or find offensive, you don’t truly support it at all."

Can't put it better.

The first problem we have my friend is WHO are the people deciding just what is and is not a right.

Fire them all.
