There are those who think this is symbolic of more ...than the jokers in Washington intended....

Wait ..... maybe it's perfect for Obamacare:

The caduceus is sometimes used as a symbol for medicine or physicians (instead of the rod of Asclepius) even though the symbol has no connection with Hippocrates and any association with healing arts is something of a stretch; its singularly inappropriate connotations of theft, commerce, deception and death have provided fodder for academic humor.

(OK, I did lift this from wikipedia .... so the reference to commerce conflated with theft and deception makes sense in that perspective!)

Did the AMA give permission for the use of THEIR symbol?

OH wait they don't use the caduceus standard anymore... their new symbol is a downward spiral ...
