Federal Government Sued By Unions ?
Somehow I get the feeling that they intend to blame the Conservatives for this somehow!
I can't wait to hear the Twisted Logic that will make this LIberal policy .... the fault of Stephen Harper!

"The Canadian labour movement is heading to the Supreme Court of Canada tomorrow seeking a declaration that a $54-billion surplus that accumulated in the federal employment insurance fund was spent in an unconstitutional way and should be returned to employers and employees."
"There's no way to reasonably expect the money would ever be used for EI.... "
"....wants the court to force Parliament to consult with employer and labour organizations on how the surplus can be used to either improve benefits or offset future contributions."
OH! BTW - The last federal budget, delivered in February, announced the establishment of a new Crown corporation to administer the Employment Insurance system. It will restrict the use of the EI Fund to EI benefits only and limit premiums to the amount needed to cover the cost of EI, plus a $2-billion cushion.
So what the labour groups from Quebec really want is to have the Canadian Taxpayers fund their pet projects and the power to tell the Canadian Government how to run the system. You see to them it's not the fact that the feds were taking so much in EI charges .... it's just that the unions didn't get to say how it was used!

Aren't I as a taxpayer the employer I want my money back,
more of the Make the rich pay bnecause we're too stupid to make anything of ourselves mentality.
BUT govt union bums make more than the people paying their salary.
