Contradictions, Omissions and Irony

Considering that the primary activity of their being in Libya was providing material to be used in cheerleading for the other side!.................

There was a story I caught on the radio this morning on the way to work where the New York Times talks about some of their field reporters gone missing in Libya.

What I clearly heard spoken was that the Times editorial management was asking the Libyan authorities to help locate the men. The on air report also clearly said that the Times "Hoped that the men were in the hands of the Libyan authorities."

After work I wanted to dig into this a little and here is what I found:

Now if I were one of those journos in Libya .... I'm pretty sure none of these statements would be very reassuring. For all intents and based on the track record of Libya and it's authorities they just might be better off NOT in the hands of those people.


As things stand ... I'm still stuck on the "Were hoping they're in the hands of the authorities..." thing ... considering the primary activity of their being in Libya!

Our Happy Socialist Paradise !

Another season arrives and our glorious leaders regale the population with tales of prosperity and great success of the central planners.

All Manitobans should be proud that their leaders can tell them with a straight face that everything is going so well.

You see we have now a government Surplus.

Yes comrades a surplus of wealth to be shared by all and most especially by those who are most righteous in their solidarity while mouthing platitudes and promises still greater reward to those who do nothing to earn their share yet have the greatest of needs.



Of course one might wonder how a fiscal surplus could be possible when the government of the people spends more than it takes from the kulaks. It is a fortunate thing indeed that leaders have seen the wisdom of taking the revenues from the people's institutions for power and energy as well as the state provider of insurance for automobiles.

If only we could count among those endless resources of finance for the people's glory the railways and the telephone service providers along with the news papers and the radio and television media. If only comrades and you might well give up a sigh for what might have been.
Or hope for what might yet be! ..... sigh!

So it must be that anyone who would ask what these extra moneys might have been used for otherwise or contemplate that perhaps there will be a need for the peoples to somehow restore these finances to the bureaucracies in order to pay for things like future costs of improvement or development or maintenance or perhaps some unforeseen calamity, they must be shouted down.

And may the cadres have mercy on those who would voice out loud the question of why such sums of money are being horded by the apparatchiks in the first place.

And do not question good friends whether the sustenance of the transfer payments from the overlords of the great federal bureaucracy might be counted as rightfully ours and in ever increasing amounts for all of time.

For it is the word of your great leaders and their words alone that determine whether our glorious reward and prosperity is a matter of fact or not.

And the leaders have spoken! Rejoice........

Waking Up On Monday......

In the half awake state between full REM sleep and consciousness people often experience sensations or are subject to strange inklings of the real world around them. This morning as I awoke to what I thought sounded like popcorn I was puzzled and somewhat amused.

Now why would anyone be making popcorn at 6am ??

Logging on to the news feed at 11:00 .... I understood.

The sound of heads exploding across the blogosphere ... soft, mushy lib/lefty heads pumped full of media gass to the point of no return......

Well ...... Yes ... just like the innumerable tasteless caricatures of GWB and most of the members of his administration are tasteless and offensive.


Personally I don't give a damn what the media political satirists write or draw. One caricature is usually no different from another most of the time.

The real issues here is that those exploding heads mostly seem to be premature ejaculations where the lefties are (as usual) completely missing the point. Even though the drawing's title "The Politics of Fear" telegraphs the POINT precisely .... for many of the Obamaramanarians the sheer sacrilege of having the blessed one's image presenteed in an sense of mockery shuts down the synapses of the cerebellum leaving only room for spastic jerking.

Not for a nanosecond has the lefty bloggosphere stopped to think that the authors criticism is aimed squarely at the Political Right who choose to harbor and promote the mental images expressed in the work. Just as surely as the hardcore fundamentalist Imams of the muslim world will have hordes of idiots out in the street if someone prints an unflattering image (or possibly any image) the true believers of the left cannot tolerate ANY perceived mockery of their PROPHET and Messiah !

And so my day begins with a rather pleasant sound that I will relish time and again as I am reminded of this day while making popcorn......

What a disgrace to see the son of Robert F. Kennedy make such public ass of himself!

I just had the great displeasure of witnessing a descendant of one of America's great families make a complete ass of himself on prime time TV.

Glenn Beck had on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to "discusss" comments that the progeny of American Camelot had made recently about Beck and others who have the audacity to question the merits of the Global Warming Jihadist movement.

It was shocking, to say the least, to witness this born to privilege, silver spoon darling of the Liberal 'progressives' do nothing but spout the standard mantra about the subject. All the ad hominem garbage, every cliche from the Libblogs without letup! Even though Beck graciously attempted to put openings in front of him to tone down the rhetoric and engage in some kind of civil debate or discussion, Kennedy consistently went back to the jingoism and dogma that Moonbats and ignoramuses from the left ALLWAYS try to use to stifle such open discussion or debate!

It was so predictable and macabre that Kennedy would continue to shout down and smear every point made by Beck, to obfuscate and muddle with the childish anti-business, anti-free enterprise and worst of all anti-free speech ranting of drug addled and pig ignorant liberal arts sophomore! It was in fact the most blatant socialist style ranting that I have ever witnessed.
Kennedy reminded me of the kind of Foaming at the Mouth we used to see from the likes of Fidel Castro and Nikita Kruschev complete with histrionics and Bashing of Corporate America.
It looked like he was deliberately aping Hug Chavez.

All the while trying to impugn Beck as doing the very thing he was himself engaging in!!
What is it with these privileged children of otherwise great parentage?

Is it drugs? Is it living in a vacuum from reality? Is it some genetic degeneration? Is it simply egos that are fed by the adoration and propaganda of perverted media?

If I were to guess I'd offer my observation that talent and intelligence often skip a generation or two. In RFK Jr.'s case it looks like those qualities took a flying leap!

God Bless America and may he have mercy on all of our souls if People Like Kennedy are allowed to gain control of the US administration.

I'm betting that John and Bobby are spinning like tops in their graves right now!


If this is what the heritage of the Kennedys has become it is a pitiful thing to behold.

Keep an eye out for further action! I'm sure this will become available on line and I'm sure that Glenn Beck is not finished with the Kennedy's offspring.

They Used To Call It - Silly Season!

When the world seems to populated by lunatics and fools. When everything you read in the press or hear on the radio or see on TV has that surreal slant to it that makes you wonder just what the hell is going on. When every whacked out conspiracy is being given way more attention than it ever deserved. And especially when there are precious few people taking a sane or logical approach to the current events that are being reported, discussed or promoted in the MSM.

That's what my parents used to call "Silly Season"!

Today in the Winnipeg Sun columnist Stephen Ripley has a comment or two about the recent events held by former TV producer Barry Zwicker!

Now I saw Zwicker on our local SHAW TV cable access program promoting some book he wrote and getting a somewhat credulous reception by our young hostess who was plainly over her head with the bombastic self promoter and conspiracy theorist.

Zwicker has a theory that most reporters and media types along with the general public have an inability to look a the world critically! That our conception of whatever event takes place is permanently molded into our psyche by the first context and set of connections and reason we are presented with.
He goes on to provide the illuminating idea that in the case of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the US the "news" information was orchestrated by nefarious government groups to initiate this process of "Shaping" or spinning the story.

How very convenient that his personal little theory of information management and human cognition can be so simply used to support his other theories of massive conspiracy!
Of course by his logic anyone who dismisses or questions his assertions will automatically be cast as one of the victims of manipulation who are categorically incapable of seeing the Truth!

It's exactly the same approach taken by liberal elitists who wish to mould opinion and fabricate consent for their utopian world views. The same as the likes of Al Gore or David Suzuki. The same as the doomsday cultists who con their followers into self destruction. The same as Scientologist or the Moonies or any of a host of others who first need to instill self doubt in their marks, victims and devotees, then proceed to indoctrinate them with the "Counter" POV as dictated by the perpetrators! Those who succumb to this manipulation invariably come to believe that they have experienced a revelation in the way they see the world. They become converts, acolytes true believers who will never again be swayed by facts or logic that run counter to the "Given" truths of their messiah!

Therein lies the irony and hypocrisy of the Zwickers of this world! While they rail against the establishment as being the manipulators they seek to do the same under the guise of enlightenment!

They hold the ordinary individual's ability to observe and draw conclusions about the world on their own merit in complete contempt and hold themselves up as an elite who bear the right to think and speak on behalf of the simple population.

Whether Zwicker actually believes what he promotes or is cynically engaged in the promotion of himself and his book really does not matter.
Barry Zwicker holds no special insight into any truth in any matter of public import.
IMO - just another self important liberal media parasite that's been breathing his own fumes for far too long.

As to the sheer number of such charletains promoting whatever twisted POV for the moment it's only Silly Season!

I was wondering as I meander around the web and bloggosphere what will these people be willing to give up in the pursuit of the utopian dream of stopping anthropomorphic CO2 growth!?

1) Burning man is a cool kind of freedom celebration that began as a disorganized congregation of old style modern artists, old time hippies and new age spiritualists. Or just a good excuse for an anything goes party out in the desert and away from the eyes of the square and uncool mainstream of America!

2) Burning man has become a successful annual event with sponsorship and all kinds of commercial undertakings that still makes a good showcase for free thinking artist types and an assortment of colourful folks to indulge in personal free expression and showcase their art lifestyle homogeny.

3) It's a party in the dessert that combines all the elements of the 60's "LoveIns" "Be-Ins" and such "Happenings"! Beat generation sensibility and a hodgepodge of new age ideas in a un-judgemental friendly communal style environment! Woodstock without the bands! Although there are plenty of performers. A huge "Rave"! And a massive Art Installation Event featuring massive pyrotechnics!


Now do not get me wrong about this! I like the concept and if I get the chance to go I'll get there some day! (At least as soon as I can organize my cohort of nubile young female acolytes)

But here's what has me puzzled! This is a crowd that almost universally lives and breaths the dogma of the APC theocrats and yet they persist in undertaking an event that relies on a huge amount of fossil fuel consumption! Sure there will be some bio-fuel engines in play as transportation or electrical generation. Probably some wind mills to created power. For sure a number of solar cell arrays!

But the need and desire for refrigeration, air-conditioning, ice making ( or keeping ) along with cooking and heating are going to be satisfied primarily by gas or diesel generation. And let's not forget the nightly campfires that will be abundant. Nor the final orgiastic celebration of the pyre of the Burning Man!

Man Oh Man! That's lot of anthropomorphic CO2 generating combustion!! I guess if your intentions are in the right sphere of ideology it's all ok!

OH! BTW - This years theme is The Green Man !
