The main reasons the starving regions of the world continue to starve is the intervention of the lunatic zombies..... who insist on keeping the dick-taters alive by insisting that the right minded peoples not blow them into the next world for some reason. Who also insist that the starving regions not be held accountable for what they do and do not. And, who also insist that productive regions be forced to waste resources in favour of unneeded biological sourced fuels in order to facilitate the alleviation of imaginary crises.

Although considered by some to be the one bright spot in Canadian news publishing the National Post and their staff writers seem determined to achieve the same level as the likes of the Globe & Mail ..........

In a piece headlined "Canada a big presence in Libya..... despite UN security council snub.... " one intrepid Jschool product exercises his profound awareness of the world with a lame attempt to conflate the two issues.

Most of the commenters at the NP online service get the fact that this is about the level of journalism usually produced in a high school news review .... and of course at least one thinks it is an invitation to share his total lack of knowledge with an irrational biliation about "Harper and the Conservatives".

To be clear ... Canada in no way needs to be on the UN security council ... and it is entirely up to us to choose whether we need to participate in anything they sanction or promote or to pay them any heed at all....

The UN security council is an organization without any credbility and it's majority members the least qualified to be making any judgements or plans on behalf of other nations. In fact, given the pathetic performance of the UN at large and their steady degeneration into a club for third world parasites to enjoy the trapings of power and import at the expense of you and Me....

For my money .... I'd like to see Canada stop contributing anything to this cabal of corrupt losers.

Libya 2008......

It seems they've refined the human trafficking business to new levels.
The way the scam works is that they leave their own borders open to masses of North African migrants. They allow smugglers free reign to operate within the Libyan borders and to ship their cargo over the Mediterranean. If things are as usual within the Libyan state then this is probably a real money maker for military and government officials as well.
When European states complain the Libyans cry poor and seek financial aid to help stem the tide which makes it profitable for the government. And of course, they can continue to play innocent victim of circumstances while blackmailing nations like Italy for money to "help fight" the human trafficking plague!

Guess how much success they're having at that eh!

The real deal here is that Libya has been promoted as a reformed nation and a responsible state that operates under civil rule of law and works in cooperation with other nations as a responsible member of the world's nations.

Once again the UN is right at the core of one of the biggest fiascos in history!
Completely oblivious to malfeasance of one of it's pet members and incapable of acting in the interest of the wider global community. Even in support of it's own policies.

As thousands of refugees flee from the violence and unrest in Libya through the Tunisian and Egyptian borders, the UN humanitarian chief on Friday expressed concern over the growing humanitarian crisis.

"Our concern now is that the numbers leaving Libya dropped sharply yesterday," Valerie Amos, UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, told reporters here.

Oh! BTW ... if you thought all those "freedom fighters" and rebels are actually Libyan nationals .... think again. The reality is that the nation has been steadily inundated with imigrants from surrounding north African states and regions and many of them are there for jihad.
