A Commenter Asks Why I Don't Comment More on Local Stuff.

Last Week ... when I posted about the handling of a topical commentary written and published by the Canadian Press : Can't See The Problem?

One of the commenters asked the question about dealing with local matters rather than those larger world shaping events.

"The story line about the Yellowquill baby deaths in particular. Remember the concept? Deal with the little stuff near you and the bigger stuff will start to fall in line? How reasonable is it that the MSM is focusing on and accepting grief counselors as the appropriate response? What about accountability counselors?"

This story : The Frozen Babies

Well the fact is that the MSM response to that story was the usual .. starting with a rush to get the story out without providing any background or even having confirmed details of the story.
The follow up was all about getting the usual leverage from a tragedy involving first nations and spinning the usual stories about funding, social support and so on!

And my commenter asked the right question about RESPONSIBILITY which of course the MSM types N-E-V-E-R mention in connection with natives or any other official victim group!

You probably have your own thoughts on that matter and the behaviour of the press and other media in this case only tends to reinforce my opinion that they are more interested in perpetuating the ideas of the meddling socialists and politically correct donkeys than in ever demonstrating the ability to use critical thought and analysis.
In short the MSM insists on pandering to the uninformed and unthinking groups that they have been cultivating through their own work practices for so long. Just keep falling back on the default themes and discussions and don't let facts and details get in the way!

But why don't I comment more about real Local News like in Winnipeg and Manitoba ?
It's like this:
First - I do NOT subscribe to the Winnipeg Free Press and only find out about what they are doing when someone points out an article or when I get a free copy handed to me at the gas bar.
The Freep is a complete piece of trash and waste of good lumber. A publishing relic that has forgone any effort at being a credible source of news or editorial integrity.

Second - The Winnipeg SUN gets no better except for the occasional intelligent article by some of the writers.

Local TV and radio news is no better and when I do watch or listen all that they do is spend 90% of their time on repeating what comes off the news feeds and the remainder misreporting the things they actually do cover.

And So ..... I spend my reading time with on-line news that seldom covers anything local to me.

So why did I not comment on The Frozen Babies ??
Well first of all this story just made me sick. I spent the day that it broke avoiding the blaring headlines and the idiot TV and Radio newsreaders exclamatory presentations of those headlines.

As soon as I got a glimpse of the report I guessed what had happened and did not really care to have my suspicions confirmed or to indulge in the frustration and pain of watching the MSM "DO" the story as they always do.

There is no need to know anymore than the fact that babies died to know that you have a tragedy. Everything else is just an additional insult to dignity and humanity.
And it is a certainty that when the MSM gets hold of stories like this that NOTHING they do will serve to help and as we observed only be used to cynically perpetuate their own pet themes.

Aside from that, when I do want to get a native perspective things that go on in those communities I can rely on Darcey and the crew at Dust My Broom to get to the heart of the matter without any agenda except getting to the heart of the matter.

Things The MSM Don't Talk (much) About

Things like:

• Their declining revenues (and relevance)
  
• Their overt political bias
• Obama's Failings
• Bloggers

Well I'm pleased to say that earlier this week we had a fine example of ONE article from AP that highlighted the fact of at least three of these issues and shed light some reasons for the first.

As I pointed out Here there was an interesting thing happened at the Obama press conference earlier this week.

They solicited in advance a question of a left wing blogger.

Now aside from that matter of who was chosen and how or why we have little or no insight offered by the AP report. Aside from some suggestions that point to some rather obvious sore points for AP. I get the sense that the reporter felt a little miffed about the relative preference afforded the blogger. Much was made in the article of the fact that everyone says there was NO advance discussion of what the question would be. In such a manner suggesting that should be a question. And concludes with a little snipe about the ethics of posting the press conference transcripts in Farsi and Arabic ... a contradiction of earlier protestations from the white house of keep neutral and not actively interfering.

Personally ... I'd like to know if the origin of the question was even from an Iranian involved in the protests.

However the question "... whether Obama would recognized Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's re-election, or if such a move would be a betrayal of protesters."

Leads me to believe that the person who did put it forth had the same mindset and literacy of you typical reporter. (not a good thing) Even if it was some anonymous citizen journalist from Iran it is one of those facile sort of interrogatives that are so often cobbled together on the spot by journos trying to appear deep and also to squeeze two separate questions into one. While, hoping to force the desired answer through what they believe to be clever maneuvering. (It's not even if it works on some dim wits who forget to remember the boiler plate.)

The first part seems like a very obvious thing that those in Iran especially might like to know.

The core of the matter ... Is Obama going to recognize the results of the Iranian elections? ... seems to be a pretty important thing.

For the second part it would seem boil down to whether or not Obama would feel that doing such a thing would be, "A betrayal of the protestors."

In plain English then: Are you going legitimize the reelection of Mack the Maddinnerjacket and throw us under the bus?

The Obama answer to that question, however worded, was pretty much "You are on your own".

Now, the thing is that although this weasel worded reply is nothing of a surprise to us it just might be the kind of thing that people who were really concerned about what happens next in Iran would like to have with a little more substance provided.

And so the story behind the story is what has happened in the MSM since this conference.

Firstly - there has been very little if any mention about the blogger's participation, the SOP for MSMers who feel they can marginalize the new media. ( It won't work.)

Secondly - The MSM has played up the other portions of the Obama statements and ignored this question and this response completely. (As far as I can tell.)
According to the MSM Obama is all tough talk on Iran now! Yeah sure he is... hot dog day at the US embassy still has the Iranians on the guest list for just one little thing.

Never mind the complete burying of this response:

"Ultimately, the most important thing for the Iranian government to consider is legitimacy in the eyes of its own people, not in the eyes of the United States," Obama said, repeating a familiar refrain. "And that's why I've been very clear: Ultimately, this is up to the Iranian people to decide who their leadership is going to be and the structure of their government."

Precious!

Yes down the memory hole if the MSM has their way.

I suppose there are a lot of reasons why the mainstream news folks don't want to point out how juvenile the white house is in matters of world importance. After all they spent so much effort making GWB to be the buffoon .... they presumably should spend as much effort making their boy out to be not to be.

In any case it goes on and on .... the neverending effort of the MSM to shape the news by controlling what is reported and how it is reported.

Funny thing is that their boy Obama looks just as willing to throw them under the bus when it suits him.

I wonder when they'll realize that just being willing tools isn't doing them so much good.

Media Fails to Report Saudis Under Investigation

OR the new twist ...

Now the MSM are claiming that the FBI gave them FALSE information....
Well, if so then it just makes another case that law enforcement has been lying and does not make the media either less culpable for spreading fake stories or any more credible. The MSM remains a bunch of clowns.

UPDATE... Now we can call it more than failure ... Because it is lies and more lies.

Now the MSM are trying to get ahead of it ... screwing it up with phony reports ... and lying. Also, the Federal government is trying to squash the background information pertaining to the history and identities of people they know to be involved.

In the past 48 hours the clowns in the mainstream media have made a series of bogus (see CNN) pronouncements with regard to investigations on the Boston bombing.

The MSM ... First there were arrests then there were none ... then they declared themselves to be "responsible" and thorough in getting all the facts. I suppose that if they think they can just make shit up and get away with it nobody will notice the two About Face versions of the situation OR the self justification in lieu of a sincere contrition. The MSM are lying.

The Government --- Meanwhile, those sources that provided information to  The Blaze ... which ended up at fox news and other locations have claimed that the Federal Authorities and Justice dept. have declared the papers and reports on the suspects (likely the Guilty Parties) are now classified as Secret.  Producers at The Blaze suspected this might happen and sent out the information they had to all of their mainstream news competitors. The Government is trying to cover up the fact that they already knew the people involved. This is a Criminal Conspiracy.

Noticed some squawks today on morning news ..... apparently someone discovered that Iran is making ready for war and plans to nuke Israel first chance they get!

That would be news to who exactly??

FARC Thugs Captured in Rescue of Hostages!

But the leftards of the MSM choose to largely ignore the fact.
While I can't find which news organization broke the story I see that AP and Reuters have taken slightly different tacks. AP has a hard on for the Ingrid Betancourt angle only acknowledging in passing the three Americans who were working on drug interdiction with the Columbian government and pays no heed to the dozen Columbian hostages rescued. Reuters focuses on the Americans and gives passing mention to Betancourt and mere nod of recognition that there were other hostages. The AP coverage to their credit does mention that there are about 700 or so hostages still in the hands of the Marxist thugs and did take the time to mention that some of the FARC thugs were taken into custody.

As usual though it's the MSM networks that play the story in their typical asinine manner.

The story as covered by the usual suspects at the TV networks ...each and every one has called the kidnapping of these people a "Capture" and added at least a note of sympathy for the FARC thugs. Being described universally as simply "Rebels" and their actions as "Capture" of indivduals such as Betancourt. Most going so far as to characterize the Columbian agents who pulled of the rescue as "Spies" and the operation itself as a "Trick" !

As usual the commie lovers at BBC took it up a notch! By lionizing the FARC as they imagine a wounded jungle animal likely to strike back ferociously at the Columbian government . Way to go BBC .... never miss an opportunity to cheerlead for bastards and thugs eh?

In all of this not one of these simpletons of the MSM bothers to note that the FARC are running a Kidnapping Business and have been for years .... right along with their Other big enterprise of Cocaine transportation. A Few Things to Consider

Stifling Speech and Expression On Campus ... Wall Street Journal Interview
College campus activists have ... over the years been violently opposed to any efforts by administrations to restrict their activities or use of college facilities to promote THEIR causes.
However ... it seems that now we have college Administrations that are inflicted with total moral cowardice when it comes to dissenting views to the predominately leftist ideology of these so called campus "progressives". After decades of being  browbeaten by the proponents of political correctness there is no will or ability in admistration offices to use rational measure or common sense. The concept of an "even hand" is long gone in this age of conformity brought about by feminists and marxist ideologues.

Manufacturing False Controversy ... Post Media News Spin
It would be a real pleasure to see this as an exception rather than the rule in our world of modern media. The Mainstream Media ... the MSM ... however ... lack the capacity or the will to provide factual background to stories and for the most part rely on the false narrative in hopes of being able to use a story ... any story ... to create a self sustaining cycle. Faux controversy...
A fine example of this is the current "news" reporting on a publicity stunt by a disgraced native band chief. Theresa Spence of the Attawapiskat reserve in NW Ontario first hit the news about three years ago after her mismanagement of the community resources led to failure of the water treatment plant. Apparently ... hockey rinks, satellite TV and Zambonies are higher priorities than safe drinking water and properly maintained housing. But Spence easily manipulated a willing MSM into making the story not about HER failures. After booting a federal auditor off the reserve and blaming the prime minister of Canada for her problems ... the PR savy Spence set up a media stunt by demanding to have personal consultation with the PM. The PM rightly refused to do so, and the stunt escalated to her setting up a quaint little teepee camp on an island in the Ottawa River (conveniently close to the capital media and photo op seeking pols). Combined with a claimed "hunger strike" (actually more of a self imposed diet of fish soup) the event became a successful rallying point for all the usual attention seeking members of the political left and lazy media shills. While Spence actually leaves the little island emcampment to spend nights at a local Ottawa hotel ... the woman who consumes more than 10% of the band's taxpayer subsidy... who owns a Cadilac SUV worth over $80 thousand on a patch of dirt that has about one mile of road... who lives in a million dollar house and enriches her friends at the expense of the citizens of the community she is supposed to be responsible for ... continues to be lionized by MSM dumbasses.
And so we are TOLD by these self appointed moral and intellectual superiors that we are all completely wrong for judging Theresa Spence and her like as parasites.

The Indian Victimhood Industry
It ought to be blatantly obvious to all and it seems to be more commonly understood that the situation of failure in "native communities" is a failure of their own leadership. The status quo for the chiefs and managers in most native communities is that THEY get to decide how the money that comes from Canadian taxpayers gets spent. For the most part they are all too willing to hold on to this unaccountable source of power and personal wealth at any cost. The cost... not being to themselves but rather to the communities they are supposed to lead. Keeping the ordinary resident in the dark and feeding the fears and prejudices of those under their feifdoms is all part of the game.

As the Canadian Government introduces legislation to make the accountability of band leaders and managers a matter of law it makes some of us scratch our heads in wonder .... as to HOW exactly it came to be that these petty dictators and autocrats were ever allowed to be above the law!

Of course as soon as such clarity in law becomes a threat to the cosy little life of privilege enjoyed by many native leaders we see a "popular" protest emerge. Hardly a spontaneous movement... "Idle No More" is the initiative of the AFN chiefs and nothing more than another publicity stunt.
Again the MSM plays a willing role in this fraud.

Well my morning got off to a great start with the CTV news!

That was yesterday and still today we have CTV and the Globe pushing their fiction......CBC TV also. However, their attempts to change the channel from The Strife their Liberal Masters have been inflicting on themselves is NOT working.

Supreme Liberal Stephane Dion continues to prove that he has not a clue about anything ... where the rubber meets the road ... Dion stands by looking like a deer caught in the headlights of a semi.

The actual Leader of Canada ... Our Prime Minister Stephen Harper .... Says

" Fish or Cut Bait " ! Perfect timing and bringing the LIberal sycophants to a howling rage..... Called Out and no ammunition, no weapons, no guts, no heart and no brains.

I for one have NO sympathy and eagerly look forward to seeing the floors of our nation mopped clean with the political carcases of these jackals.

Their strategy in promoting this POV goes back to last year where the good general was portrayed as constantly at odds with the government over policy on the Afghan mission.
The MSM was going out of their way to play up supposed disagreement or conflicting opinion over the operations in Afghanistan. They were plainly spinning like mad to generate controversy at the time. Subsequent events have helped to fuel this manufactured theme and certainly Gordon O'Connor's shift from the Defense has provided more fuel for this theme. However, the reality is that O'Connor left because he had become such a target for controversy. This may be seen as a success for the likes of CTV and the Globe&Mail but in reality just a political expediency forced by these self appointed shapers of public opinion.

Gordon O'connor was outstanding in his role as Minister of Defense and accomplished everything he was set to do. Regardless of how the MSM chose to spin it.

Officially Screwed has some thoughts on the merit of this theme!

Now we have these same folks in the media building on the previous baseless themes to portray Hillier as the victim of political vendetta.

Hillier is the media darling.... Hillier is the Best man for the Job.... Hillier is the only man for the job.... Hillier is responsible for saving our military......Hillier outshines his political masters...etc.

It's called Completing the Circle or as I like to think of it Circling the Square.

The media campaigns to make the government look bad over the management of The NATO mission in Afghanistan is like building a box. Start with one line, cross it with another then run a line parallel to the first then a line parallel .... you have a space in the middle that is a square and it's filled with nothing but assumptions and speculation... once the empty box is filled with the desired contents the media just draws a freehand circle around it to draw attention to their construction and proudly announce that all this proves them right.

Mission Accomplished ... they think!


Now let's be perfectly clear about a few things!

- General Rick Hillier certainly is very good at his job which is Top Soldier , he may even be the very best man for that job ..... this does not mean that he is the ONLY man for the job OR that he should be in that role indefinitely.
- It is NOT General Hillier's doing that he became the focus of this media attention.
- It is NOT Hillier's doing that the Canadian Forces are being renewed and equipped for the future ..... this is the doing of the Conservative Government and mostly Gordon O'Connor!
- General Hillier's term in the position of Chief of Defense is NOT open ended and in FACT in Feb. 08 will have reached the 3 year mark that usually marks the changing of the guard as it were ... this DOES NOT mean that he will not renew or extend his role after this date! ( with apologies for my taking several reviews to get this right)
- Prime Minister Harper has categorically denied that this story has any merit and CTV reporter Bob Fife chooses to interpret his words as being ambiguous

- General Hillier is being built up by the media to serve as a Bat with which to beat the Government.... he is being used as a political tool by unelected, unaccountable and unscrupulous purveyors of opinion and would be shapers of public sentiment - The MSM


With the opposition parties incapable of offering any sustainable or credible debate about our military involvement in world affairs the Water Carriers of the MSM are doing the job for them.

Because just brining us the facts and reporting them is not enough?

Today's Five Minute Scandal - Redux

It seems that Canadian Press - is keeping the faux controversy alive still today ... working hard it seems to keep up the illusion that this is news. Supposedly just because they say so.....

Reports World Media in some kind of frenzy over it.

More like world media either scratching their heads or being just as clueless as CP and the gang.
Lefty newsrag in Australia took the story to the next level and reported that PM Harper has resigned over this BS.

I suppose that Boob Rae will be commenting today on how this reflects on Canada and Our PM.

Today the LIberals revealed that Prime Minister Stephen Harper once read a speech (5yr ago) that was prepared for him by on of his writers who later today admitted that he had used extensive copy from a speech by then Austrlian PM John Howard.

The writer admitted his action and resigned as noted here at

That did not stop the MSM and as noted in the story by Darcey especially CTV from broadcasting the accusation that "Harper is a Plagiarist" all day long.

Notably the clueless Dion was still ranting about Harper's alleged misdeed well after the fact had been settled and the MSM had already moved on to other minutaie and non stories.

Ironically somebody noticed that LPC website had been cleaned up with the deletion of an article plagiarized from the David Suzuki Foundation ... well after all the other noise was settled.

By 7:00 this evening all signs of the faux story had disappeared.

Ok! Here's Some Local Stuff!

In my ongoing theme about how lame and set in their own world view our media are... constantly falling back trite themes and conflating irrelevant minutiae to stretch a story and reinforce their pet themes.


There's the recent story about a young woman who was speeding on a known dangerous stretch of road which just happened to be a bridge. The woman happened to be driving a Jeep Liberty.
There happened to be a pile of snow from road clearing that made a sloped embankment against the bridge rails. Oh yes ... the woman happened to be related to someone who might be recognized in the news because she was an athlete.

Now the prime fact in this story is that you had a 23 year old person who ignored the posted warnings about icing conditions on a piece of road that is well known to be dangerous in winter.
Sheer stupidity and lack of judgement. Lucky for her the other significant fact in this story was that the person she was passing when she lost control of her vehicle happened to be a trained emergency worker who knew how to respond.

I won't even dignify this screw up on Klassens part by calling it an accident! Speeding in unsafe conditions is reckless driving and losing control is the consequence of bad judgement and incompetence as a driver.

Now strip away the conflations and hyperbole in the stories and the headlines in the MSM reports.
Headline CNews - Cindy Klassens Sister Rescued : Who her sister is has no bearing on the facts of the story.
Headline CBC News - Snowbank May Have Contributed to Cars Fall.... : Probably the least significant factor in this matter since the snowbanks would never have been hit by a driver in control of their vehicle.

Other headlines from the media included things like "SUV Plunges From Bridge" and "Woman Rescued from SUV".
As if the vehicle was responsible for driving itself and attacking the driver!
In the contents of every report the Term SUV is used for no particular reason.
As the MSM writers default on the theme that "SUV" the official Label for politically Incorrect vehicle and focus of contempt by the liberal smug and the envious have nots of our society.
In one report the writer felt that it was necessary to talk about another relatives jazz group.


Just for the record I do consider this story NEWS in the true sense. An event like this needs to be reported and the public needs to consider the causes and the ramifications. This could happen to you or your kids or anyone you know. People obviously need to be reminded of the potential consequences of irresponsible driving. Add to that fact the dramatic nature of the rescue and what else does a reporter or editor need? Well obviously the media types need to add whatever their limited imaginations can provide.

But ...... the way it is reported for the most part is pure crap. The stuff of clueless and not very bright rubes without enough sense to recognize their own limitations.

Reporters, writers and editors need to get a clue about what is actually important as opposed to gratuitous and nonsensical irrelevancies that they view as "making a story".

Just ONE of the many things that is wrong with the MSM!

When left Wing "Think Tanks" Talk Tax!

I normally would not give either the Toronto Star or the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives the least time .... but since the usual lefty tools in the MSM are running THIS PIECE OF NONSENSE as if there's some fact involved.

Singing the usual tired, leftover and rehashed tune that the poor are paying an unfair share of taxes in Canada and of course leading up to an argument that this fictitious situation is the fault of our current conservative government by first blaming Mike Harris. Piling lies and misrepresentation on top of falsehood and inaccuracy.

Show me your calculations fellows because I can prove you are using false assumptions and lying through your teeth! This garbage has been debunked over and over as the tools of socialism have kept up their line of attacking the successful and enterprising and blaming governments for creating an unfair system. Cut the crap.... the only thing these closet commies want is to have the ability to take all the wealth of our nation and dole it out like food rations to a dependent population.

I am NO fan of how taxation is managed in this country but I am less a fan of BS from people whose sole purpose in life is to foment dissent and class envy with phony controversy like this.

Add to that the complete willingness of the leftstream MSM to unquestioningly propagate the garbage that these idiots produce and you've got what passes for "Informing The Public" in our society these days.

To be sure ... MSNBC and CNCB and NBC are the worst of the bunch in US media promoting liberalism and misrepresentation of all things conservative.

But if you don't pay attention then you don't ever get to see how the attempt to play the role of "Great and Powerful OZ". Those of us who DO pay attention may from time to time, tire of the constant and self serving dishonesty of the Mainstream Media .... but it remains constant and virtually impossible to avoid. Short of drinking the "coolaide" and giving up on all semblance of sense and critical thinking, the only escape from the perverse press and other media, is to never glance at a paper or turn on a TV or radio ... or view the internet.
The gist of this rant ....

Is all about the fact that while one of the liberal media' favorite themes about conservatives in general and the Republican party in the USA is that we are all just "old white people".
Sure ... old white people tend to be inclined to follow common sense and behave with dignity.
This seems to be something the MSM liberals need to either ignore or in some way demonize. Otherwise, how would they be able to justify their false claims about the participation of non-white and young people in major conservative affairs?

The pathetic thing about this, of course is that so many actually believe the BS being spewed by the likes of MSNBC. But this goes way beyond pathetic ignorance in the public because it is a deliberate and sustained effort of the self appointed arbitors and editors of what is an what is not in fact going on. The MSM as typified by MSNBC refuse to tell the whole story (another problem that I have elaborated on in the past) especially when that story contradicts the most vile aspects of their own agenda.

It is quite surprising how effective this becomes through constant abuse of their media channels. It becomes painfully apparent when they cannot bring themselves to cover ANY of the GoP convention presentations by NON white members and participants. In short MSNBC and the rest of the MSM are attempting to hide the fact that minority citizens DO NOT align themselves with liberals and democrats alone.

Nothing short of evil... because they know damned well that they contribute to racial and social divisions by perpetuating lies.

Artur Davis, a black American; Mia Love, a black candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah; and Texas senatorial hopeful Ted Cruz, a Latino American, MSNBC opted to show commentary anchored by Rachel Maddow from Rev. Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes and Steve Schmidt.

Ya got that? ..... instead of showing presentations by Conservative members of visible minority groups ... MSNBC chose to show a  a segment fronted by a deranged liberal commentator (Madow), a deranged black racist (Sharpton) and a panel of FOUR dyed in the wool conservative bashing media hacks.

While I have been asked many times over the last decade to SHOW evidence of my assertions about liberal bias in the media, I have never had a problem doing so. 

The real question that needs to be asked is "How the hell can anyone not be aware of this?"

A Rally about True Values and Real Pride ... Just Another Excuse for the MSM To Belittle

When any sort of leftwing or cultural diversity group holds a rally it's good news and fit for pimping and inflating the hyperbole of the lefty narrative.... as if the very fact that some number of people went out in public to demonstrate their anger/support/ whatever over an issue is evidence that said issue is of supreme importance ...and ... if it happens to dovetail with the lefty / progressive narrative then it is THE issue of the moment.

However, when such gatherings happen to support our middle of the road, majority white, Judeo-Christian population and their concerns, hopes and aspirations it as another story.

In the MSM let's just say that the size of the rally was expected and the largely liberal media were setting the tone for their coverage well before the event with snide little comments on air and negative context in print.

The underlying supposition by the MSM was and remains that any such event is to be used as fuel to slander the American mainstream citizen and his aspirations.

The last thing the self styled progressives want is for middle America to rise up to political and social consciousness. Why?

Because individuals who actually think for themselves and believe in self reliance are the natural enemy of the statists ... the socialists and the peecee nurse nanny meddlers.

The first thing that a politically conscious middle America becomes conscious of is the fact that these so called progressives are the ones who have been undermining the freedoms, hopes and aspirations of our nations.

This is the death knell for progressivism and you can thank the likes of Beck for taking this to the people.

With the amazing ability of the MSM to capture and report on the e-mails and private conversations of any conservative seemingly anywhere at any time you would think that at least occasionally there would be some similar amount of effort put towards the missteps and faux pas of the left. Would you not?

However, we see on a daily basis that some CPC member is suddenly revealed as having made an inappropriate comment or a joke among fellows or that some ill thought out communication is suddenly found to be the greatest affront to Canadians that has ever been.

Such is the case with one Gerry Ritz Canada's agriculture minister who has suddenly become the focus of the MSM's "diligence" since it has been revealed that he made wise cracks during meetings with "public servants" as the CP Reports ....

Ritz was forced to apologize after The Canadian Press learned he had unnerved public servants with some gallows humour during a conference call at the height of the crisis.

Ritz was deeply concerned, during the discussion that took place Aug. 30, about possible political fallout as the deadly disease claimed more victims in the days before the federal election was called, according to sources who participated in the conference call.

But that concern apparently didn't stop him from cracking wise while scientists, bureaucrats and political staff listened in.

Well Gerry .... you should have known better! For future reference ... file that under

"Know Your Enemy".

Now how much attention has been given by the MSM to things like the Green Party 9/11 conspiracy theory flake who got the boot from the green party ... only after bloggers made his lunatic fringe opinions a story?

Or how much space and time was given in the mainstream to the Quebec Liberal who publicly and repeatedly advocated that the Canadian Military be sent to KILL native protesters in Quebec without mercy?

OR This Guy who uses and advocates the use of drugs and was accepted as a candidate by the NDP?

I think it's not so much that the left and especially the LIberals like Dion and company are so good at hiding their poop.

Rather it seems evident that they get so much help from their friends in the civil service and other groups but must surely be for ever beholden to our Canadian Media.

If the MSM ignores the fact that a communist dictator in South America is aiding and abetting drug dealing criminals and murderous thugs in countries that border on his own ..... is it NOT happening?

In the recent episode of Islamic militant action (call them pirates if you want but what they really are are Muslim jihad financiers) where a US flagged ship was attacked and the ship's American Captain taken hostage by armed Somalis it was the POTUS who pooched the efforts of the US Navy to do their job. Captain Phillips was courageous and risked his own life to help his crew get control of the ship Maersk Alabama. He subsequently managed to escape his captors and provide the perfect opportunity for the Navy to do it's job... However ... unknown to the Captain the NAVY had been put on a short leash by the President Himself in utter defiance of the wishes, advice and policy pf the Navy. Not to mention in disregard for the lives of those Americans at risk or any smidgen of good sense.

In the days leading up to this there were other culprits of Leftardism at work.

While events around the Maersk Alabama were unfolding the Media were busy broadcasting the proximity and ETA of the US Navy forces who were set to intervene.
Also, during the interim the Somalis were given the opportunity to call for reinforcements of their own and thanks to the information broadcast by the MSM also given the chance to interfere in whatever manner offered them greatest advantage.

Upon the resolution the crew was interviewed by regional media and CNN along with others offered the broadcast as a live breaking event.

The American crew were clear in their condemnation of the media for endangering them and the people who were trying to help them. Somehow, this video seems to have disappeared from the records.

Quick to take credit that was even more quickly lathered about by the MSM tools.... Obama actually prevented the timely rescue of US Merchant Marine Captain Richard Phillips. Not only that but his meddling nearly got the man killed.

Remember the President of the United States is supposed to be the "Leader of The Free World!"

I see no reason why these people should be trusted in any matter.
